ok so i just installed a small16g turbo a AFPR and 255LPh fuel pump set the psi to 43.5 with vacume unhooked and blocked and now when i hit the gas full throotle at 2500 rpm is stuters and car has problem with intial startup when its cold
could i have hooked something up wrong? thanks ahead of time to all :thumb:

Wow I never noticed they sell the dual signal ports on eBay. But yeah JDM + eBay is never a good combination of words for really anything besides maybe a... sticker?

I highly recommend getting a new BOV or a 1G BOV with the adapter kit

yeah deffinatly gonnna find the proper fitting for the greddy and throw this thing in the trash asap or at my friend ill try capping it off and see how good that works out too if anyone comes across the greddy adapter it would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know ill keep searching though

this is a pic of my greddy BOV and the fitting greddy sent me always worked good just needed to recirculate it and ok thanx for the link ill give them a try and let you know how that works out:thumb:

when i mesasure for the size do i measure the BOV dumptube outer diamater or the recirc hose diamater i think its the hose according to extreme psi just want to double check before ordering

ok so even looking at the pic mine is the greddy type rs knockoff :banghead: i got the IC piping off greddy.com and they sent me a knock off BOV with it that sucks im gonna have to use the kockoff for now only thing is now i dont know what size recirc fitting i need since its the fake 1 :ohdamn: i think after this im gonna buy the ngr type s BOV anyone use them before? or should i just go with the greddy rz BOV what do you guys think?

Wait... Greddy sent you a knockoff of their own product? If you got it from them I would think you didn't need to worry about that. Call them up and see what they say about that :sneaky:

Sweet yeah I'd love to hear what they say ROFL

As for the type S, there are a surprising amount of demos of the BOV especially on DSM's
Click!

I'm sorry and personal preference is A-okay with me but seriously? That thing sounds like someone kicking a puppy everytime they shift. Haha but still people dig em. I just don't know.

LOLLOL ok some of those videos sound like s*** maybe ill rethink the NGR type s haha i like the sound of my knockoff better than most of those ROFL

i watched 1 video that sounded good but now that im hearing all these i dont think i want it now

there is also alot of people just sticking with the 1g BOV as ive seen i think since im not pushing crazy psi yet im going to stick with my knockoff till it gives me problems or i up the boost which i will be doing in a few months :thumb: and then upgrade to a legit greddy type rs that can handle 25 psi that im planing on pushing once i fix all these mistakes the kid before me did :banghead: also we dont need emmisions here so im going to take out all that and free up some space under my hood ive read to leave most things pluged in like boost cotrol solenoid and fuel regulator solenoid any others i should leave plugged in?

1G is an excellent choice, it can hold a lot of boost in factory style. Just need at adapter kit

For me, I hate the check engine light. Right now I'm having trouble with a couple solenoids but should be fixed shortly. Pretty much any solenoid you need to keep plugged in, in order to keep the light off. Also, the MDP sensor (related to EGR system) will cause a light too. Almost any electrical equipment.

But there is a way! DSMlink has simple checkboxes to keep the CEL from coming on. So at that point, you don't have to worry about unplugging anything

As suspected, an EGR plate won't let the exhaust gasses flow in. Because of that, there will not be a pressure change in the manifold when the ECU commands it to open. The ECU knows there is no pressure change due to the signal it receives from the MDP sensor, hence *Manifold Differential Pressure* sensor

im saving up for the dsmlink and a datalogger at the moment just need to fix the boost leaks and other little things 1st the kid before me that owned it had no idea what he was doing and just threw it all together of course i didnt relize it until i started taking everything apart at home as i mentioned before i think the charcoal canister goes to the gas tank when i take everything out will it be affected even though the hose its not even there now

ok so your saying it is actually a bad idea to block it off then right or did i read that wrong haha

Sorry, I hardly know my own vacuum routing as far as EMISSIONS go. I'm still on the fence about taking it all out or not..

However there is a ton of vacuum diagrams around the site that can help

Pros:
less clutter
less chance of boost leaks
less carbon build up in intake manifold / throttle body

Cons:
a little less gas milage (not much)
carbon build up
check engine light
higher cylinder temperatures

When I get DSMlink, I'd probably delete the EGR stuff, just to keep everything inside cleaner and less cluttered

i have the vacume diagram saved but it dont show anything about the charcoal canister and since i cant locate the hose at all i was planning on pulling it all out since it isnt needed i was just curious about it i will have to try and do some more research on that 1 and also to do a dsmlink on the 95 dont i have to upgrade to the 97 ecu?

The charcoal canister is more than likely under that battery or in the driver headlight area. If not there, possibly by the fuel tank. Forget exactly how that one is positioned though.

With DSMlink, you need an EPROM ECU. If you have EPROM, there is a little chip soldered on the board of the ECU. This chip is then delsoldered and pulled off the board to be replaced with a simple adapter which is resoldered in it's place to the board. DSMlink is a red chip which is pushed down into the adapter on the board, essentially replacing the stock chip known as the EPROM. To see if your car already HAS an EPROM ECU, pull off the passenger side left kick panel and follow this link:

By the way, you can either PM me or start a new thread with any new questions. Me, I could care less helping with different stuff but it's frowned upon as per the site rules to get carried away on different subjects all in one thread :)

Sucks to hear about your knock off Greddy bov, I hate to be right sometimes:p

I run the type RZ and love it.

I also run a 180 thermostat and see 190 temps at cruise, I don't think 143 will work out LOL, never herd of those.
