So went to replace the Water Temperature Gauge Sensor since I had a code for it and then I saw some silver/metallic coating around it but I just thought I could break it loose anyways and It snapped and now I’m just wondering if there’s a change to get it out or could I replace the whole thermostat housing, if so how hard is it to replace the housing? Please I need help and about to throw this eclipse out I stg.

I'd remove the housing,(it's 5 bolts an a gasket), heat the area with a torch good and hot and use an easy out. They're usually corroded in with aluminum corrosion and heat is the solution.

Side note, I've never seen a code for this as it's just a dummy sensor, the ecu doesn't actually see it, only the 2 wire sensor.

Thank you, im going to try to take out the stuck piece first and if that doesn't work just replace the whole unit, would you know where to get one as there is not one on stm tuned LOL, as for the code im not sure about it.

Like already said. I am also fairly certain that sensor is the dummy light. So the other 2 wire one is what reports the temp. You likely can as said extract it. I have no idea for a new one as i am not sure we ever have replaced one. I am sure we have used ones laying around. I had this code i think back in 2009 and the other sensor is the one that causes it.
