Thanks all! They sold pretty quickly, like you most of you said it would.
    • alexr254 posted the classified ad For sale 2g factory rims - from 99 Spyder in DSM Parts Classifieds.
Set of 5 factory 2g eclipse rims. 4 with tires, 1 with rim only. The tires are in good shape and can still be used. None have leaks. One rim has scratches on the face, cosmetic damage only. All rims are undamaged structurally. Just normal...

I haven't tried listing them yet. Would need to be local only since no way i'm shipping this.I guess its worth a try, thanks for the advise! Thanks. I posted them in classifieds.I guess i'll give it some time, and if no one is looking for...
    • I just put on new wheels. And not sure what to do with my old ones. Are these rims worth trying to sell? Or are they not worth anything?

I agree. I've done it in a car in a 1g but I wouldn't do it again in either car. I'd pull the motor. Sounds like the op just needs to retime. Easy.

For me since i am doing a 4g64 hybrid. The correct cam gears were hard to get, not the adjustable kind. And since i have a spyder, no chance to get NOS for things like weather seals, window guards, door panel bezels. Was a pain finding a decent...

Even if you have the $ to spend some parts are just impossible to obtain, unless you get lucky. It's getting harder and harder as these age. It may help to keep your eyes on the classified ads here. Just incase...

Not sure how its possible with the motor in the car. Unless you put it at a crazy angle. And at that point its easier to just pull it. :) Best bet is to prepare to pull the engine if you want to do a proper balance shaft delete on it.Your...
    • Ive also been looking for some assistance with tuning with no luck. Although i am in no rush. I suggest being open to the possibility of having it remote tuned. Would be a lot easier then having someone onsite for it.
    • alexr254 replied to the thread 2G Spyder 4g64 Hybrid Turbo.
I received everything I think I need to move forward. Have the 1g TB, bolts, gaskets for it. Got the TB elbow. Got some straight pipe to bend for the other intercooler to elbow tube.Does anyone see anything obvious I’m missing? For now for the...

Makes sense. I didn't take season into account. I live in Florida and its basically in the 70s during winter.

I wasn’t taking it that way. However, it’s always a good thing for everyone to know.

I can't say for others, but I know that life got a bit nuts for awhile for me and I just haven't been in the right space to address people's questions. Plus many of the questions that seem to be coming in are more specific in nature... more in...

True. I also think its too easy to take written words out of context. Similar happened to me on my 4g64 Hybrid thread. I was given great advice and i questioned it. Not because i didn't think it was good advice but because i wanted to understand...

Awesome thanks for the idea. One skill i am severely missing is knowing how to weld. So i went ahead and just ordered a welder, helmet, gloves, shoe protectors, and extra tips, sticks, wire. By far not the best welder on the market. But it is...

I can see how this thread may look like i'm complaining. But that was truly not my intention. I honestly was just wondering if it was only me over analyzing things i think i notice, because i do tend to do that alot. But this may just give me...

I went through your post history and see you dont post in other peoples threads to help them out or lend your two cents. you are just as guilty as the others you talk about not helping others. if all you care about is what others can do for...

Its because i am not a good source of information. As i sort of alluded to in my original post, i'm not at the point yet where i would be the one to offer sound advice. For example my neighbors see me working on cars all the time and see all...

Thank you, this is very helpful. And that is why i have been updating my build post regularly. Even with mundane issues i run into. I am doing that mostly due to the lack of recent 4g64 hybrid info, hoping it may help others trying to...
    • I've been at this DSM stuff pretty deeply for nearly 2 years now. Building a 99 Spyder 4g64 hybrid. Maybe some of you have saw my huge thread on it. Started from "I know nothing" to 2 years later "now it's starting to make sense a little bit"...
