Wanted a Blue and silver effect the coating on the exhaust manifold is ceramic enamel says it with stands 500 degrees If the paint looks ugly on the manifold I will cover it at that point. Already have a backup plan just in case.

It'll flake off pretty quickly and change color even quicker. These manifolds get hotter than *500

Yeah I will just cover it at that point I made a heat deflector out of metal. I just liked the way it looked

Hmmm... Looks pretty damn good. The paint will crap up on the exhaust after a short time as stated above. I used 1000* grill paint on mine awhile back, flat black and its still lookin good. And i assume this is the duplicolor spray paint?

Yeah it's a duplicolor I had to get that gold off there.

Looks way better . Enjoy it while it lasts, after a month of driving it will never look the same. Valve cover paint always chips on install. For me anyway.

Yeah I just hope with the rebuild I don't have the Lions Luck that is the only downfall. I am taken a crap load of pictures of my build when it looks all pretty. then when someone ask I can say this is what it use to look like

Great idea. I have done that with my dsm and my house. The house renovation was really dramatic.
People really get a kick out seeing before and afters.

I personally like the gold... the blue is just a plain blah blue. With that said i am a fan of blue.... like a nice metallic midnight blue pearl.

Nope.... surprisingly enough im not really a football fan . The blue paint job does look good though. Curious to see how the exhaust manifold holds up though. You will have to take some pictures of it after driving for a couple of months.

But seriously.....On the manifold, that Detroit blue is going to be Wolverines blue pretty quickly, and then turn Western Michigan black. But as it stands right now on the stand, its looking boobies.

P.S. I hope your new engine holds together better than Matthew Staffords throwing shoulder. Ha had to get a jab in there. I'm from Chicago.
