But seriously.....On the manifold, that Detroit blue is going to be Wolverines blue pretty quickly, and then turn Western Michigan black. But as it stands right now on the stand, its looking boobies.

P.S. I hope your new engine holds together better than Matthew Staffords throwing shoulder. Ha had to get a jab in there. I'm from Chicago.

+1 for a clean engine, the blue really stands out, but probably won't stand up to the heat; at least the manifold won't. It's gonna smell awesome when you first heat it up! Anyways, it will be interesting to see what happens, please post a pic after you've ran it for 5000 mles!

Why didn't you paint the head?

I think the head would have been to much blue. Looks great, Make sure you get some pics up of it in the car.

I will keep posting as I build at a stand still because of funds and no where in Fargo ND carries the dang intake gasket so I had to order it. They all have the exhaust gasket but no intake.


Anyone know if a 1g intake gasket will work on a 2g head I know the runner holes are larger but it fits the bolt pattern.

The 1g intake gasket will not work. The 2g ports on the intake won't cover the gasket.
