Tan Interior, Who Actually Likes It?

I see tan interior with tan dash off factory, but swapping the tan carpet in with black seats and gray dash and other parts looks very good.

I bought an ECU from a guy the other day, who had all black leather in a Burgundy 92.
My friend asked in him if he was planning on running some racing seats one day.
The guy said "yea I probably will".
Then immediately after my friend says, "you wanna sell the black seats"?
It was priceless

The black 1g leather seats, seem to be the rarest to me.
I still feel like if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
All that work just to "prevent" something from breaking.
I wonder how many people with power seats, actually have had them break?

Anyway this thread is supposed to be about, tan interior.
Not the rarest color seats!

Just to get things sort of back on track.
Does any one know how common it is for a 1g to have black/tan interior?
My 1990 has the black/tan and it doesn't seem like I see too many with it.

I have seen a lot of power seats that don't work. It is actually pretty common for the control piece to break off.

Yeah well, My Talon has a dent that no other DSM inthe world has cause I'm super jdm as #### like that! VTEC.

who cares how "rare" your black seats are, i thought this was tan interior not look at me i got some wiered rare seats oooo koool. only seats I would give any credit of uniqueness too are 1G leather seats which are tan....ish. I rarely see them but they are out there. friend has em in his talon

I guess the same can be said about who cares about your worthless BMW in your avatar? Had you practiced literacy, which is apparently beneath you, you would have followed the whole conversation train as to why we were discussing the subject and as to why I don't want to get rid of my black leather seats. I don't care about how rare they are, I care about the fact that they match my interior as I am not color blind. The fact that they are rare means it will be harder for me to find a matching set in manual to match the rest of my car. Just because visual appeasement should not be an excuse to waste money on crazy decals, it doesn't mean you have an excuse not to take pride in the condition of your car.

Now, unlike you, I have both a tan interior DSM and a black interior DSM, so my presence in this thread is more justified than yours. In fact I am just more justified in existence than you, but that may be a little harsh and condescending, oh wait I don't care.

BW are your seats electric or manual?

Both are electric. I know the 95 work, I am unsure of the 97 though, as I have not connected power to it yet.

This is actually the first one I have had with electric, I know this is a vague question, but against other cars you have been in, would you rate the speed of our seats slower or faster.

I would say average - to a bit slower. It could be because the battery was dying on the car the most recent time I used it though.

I wouldn't trade my color combo for anything, which includes the tan/black interior of course. It's a bit rare and is literally is the only reason I have the car I have.

I agree with Mike, I wouldnt call it rare, but it is much less common than the grey interior.

I think they dropped the tan dash for '91 or '92. I don't think I've ever seen a 1Gb with anything other than a grey dash. I haven't seen a 1Gb with any tan at all except for the leather option. Likewise, I've only seen black leather 1G seats in Lasers.

Don't recall what color the dash was in the car I pulled mine from. but, it was 94 Talon Tsi Awd and all the 1g's I've ever seen with Black leather seats maybe 3-4 tops were 94's Talons all of them where Green too...

I was always tan/black myself. It just works so well together. I do like the all black as well. All tan doesn't work for me (my Corolla is that way).

I loved my old Spyder shell with tan/black leather. Now with gray, I like it way better!

My car is the factory purplish color with both shells.
