well guys...I know some of you are going to hate me for this, but I installed some washer LEDs on my car today....Honestly, I like them alot :D If they werent so associated with rice I think they would be really cool. Theyre just kinda a fun thing to have, they were only $10.

I know that everyone on here hates them, but I think they look pretty cool. Please note that my car is very clean, no goofy stickers or huge wing. I just really like these lights, alot of girls like them too!

Anyone else have them? Come forward if you like the LEDs!!

I do, what color did you get and what color is your car?

P.S. Im Tired of everybody calling everything rice. It,s so played. :barf:

Thanks man, I appreciate the support, LOL :thumb:

My car is dark green, so I got green LEDs, I plan on getting the green underbody to match soon

why did you post those pictures again? just curious.

im not a fan of the washer lights but its not my car

I am just tired of the LED craze. When done tastefully, I have no problem with LEDs. I have no problem with interior accents or Halo lights. LEDs are kinda like neons should be tho. You should hide the source and use the glow for effect. There is nothing worse than seeing neon tubes hanging from someone's car, etc. I noticed in a JCW catalog that they have LED nitrous purge, LED air filters, mufflers, tips, clear wings with LEDs, washer LEDs, etc. YOU CAN HAVE TOO MANY LIGHTS. To each his own, I just think putting lights all over a car without any real reason other than putting 2 glowing dots on your hood, etc. just pushes the envelope on being tacky. :|
I know there are things about my car that other people don't like tho, so to each his own. :thumb:

to show that tastefully done LEDs look good. and that this is a prime example.

i agree with this dude 100 percent, and i wanted to show im not an ass about LEDs, just tacky ones.

i got em' on my car, but thats cause my g/f bought them for my b-day, and i love her to death, so i put em' on. what i did though is this............

1. sanded the chrome down, and painted em' black. (not so noticeable)
2. wired a lighted switch to the leds, and mounted it towards the bottom of the cockpit. (so i can turn em' on and off)

i never run em', cause i don't care for em' and the cops are cocks. there just there, and u can adjust the squirter angle, so that is sweet.

car color is burgandy, led lights are the white/clear.

yeah LED's are cool as heck. I pick up my new 1000 color LED underbodys on tuesday.

Yeah, they can be overdone, but in moderation i think they can look really good.

Im happy that most of you guys understand, even though you dont want them on your car, you dont care if their on someone else's car, thats cool

Drive Eagle-that reminds me of when my then gf bought me those valve stem lights for my car (then a sunbird) I didnt like them at all, but I had to put them on, luckily the batteries brned out, LOL

^ what girls will make us do. :D  OMG :(

nah, i just told her that when we buy stuff for the car. make sure i'm with her. and she listened, for now.

I'm not a huge fan of them myself, my brother had to get a set on his ram when the sun ate the factory plastic ones in Phoenix as it was $10 vs $100 for stock.
Honestly they hurt oncoming drivers eyes (at least mine). that is my main problem with them.

I do like the purge kits (in blue) as it looks like you lit a frickin torch.

I am going to try and install an orange led in the factory mirror as a turn signal indicator.

I might install a set of purples strictly for rear floorboard illumination, but I'll probably go with mini neons.

And I want to use a couple of orange ones and a plastic rod to illuminate the talon center section as an additional brake light.

Anything is ok in moderation... and I like the fact that yours are black and you can turn them off when you're driving. that's cool by me.

To me they seem most at home on a metallic orange bodykitted Honduh with vents everywhere and a loud exhaust, slammed to handle poorly with racing seats when they are chrome and on all the time.

OT - (sorry some fool was play racing his Accord today. He almost ran into me from behind b/c he was speeding and tailgating while he was looking 90 degrees out the drivers side window. He had to swerve around when he finally noticed my brakelights were on after almost a second and a half. He then got pissed and tried to start a fight while driving down the street. Then I flipped him off because he was endangering my child's life, and he sped off one I indicated to him with a brief pull back to normal speed that my wife's 94 Saturn was faster! . But with a car like that I won't forget him, and I am still steamed. We used to carry Qbeams at night for drivers like that :shhh: )

They can be done tastefully, but I absolutely hate seeing every other rusted out, 15 color '83 Honda with them on.

When I was in St. Lucia about two years ago, no lie, every other car had them, it was like a law that you had to have them.

Oh man,
Let me tell you that its a great thing i found the friends I have now. In highschool the cool thing was to rice out your car as much as possible. I drove an 93 s13 convertable at the time and had purchased an underglow kit, washer LED's and front and back lic. plate bolt leds. SHAME ON ME! (Did add some real mods;))

Then i got into an accident and the car sat (No leds installed) I believe it was the big man above telling me something about letting me put LEDS on my car. Then I started going to church..,, (imagine that) I met a few people there one whitch had a 2g (GSX) and i fell in love with it.

Ok short story short > Boost + my heart= OMG + cheap = Me with a 1g :D
Devon :talon:

I'm a fan of neon and LED lighting, when done in moderation (like it seems most people on here are) Accent lighting and finish lighting for show setups is all good, but it kinda dirves me nuts to see those LED washers on all sorts of ghetto cars. Please tell me you rigged them to a switch so you can turn them on and off when you need.

im staring at the Ozium UFO for myself.

I'm not a big fan of the ozium UFO myself. looks kinda ghetto when installed.. like a donut stuck to the celeing. I saw this guy who drilled a few small holes into the clear cover on his donelight, and stuck some LED's in there for illumination. It made a cool effect. It spilled onto the headliner, and illuminated a little down into the cabin for some accent lighting... looked really nice.

i have them on my car but they arent connected, i just got them because theyre chrome instead of black. but ya i personally dont like them unless its just an all out show car.

i have them installed to an illuminated switch in my car, so i can turn them off when I need to....

LOL, one of them isnt working for some reason, I think the DSM gods are trying to tell me something, I pulled up to the dorm with them on, but I didnt know that one didnt work, I looked like a tool in front of some cute girls..... OMG

Oh well, ill check the wiring tomorrow......

note: im kinda wasted, so it took me like 10 minutes to write this post
