Windshield Washer LEDs

Aight, not tryn to be a ricer or anything, just thought it be cool to have some blue washers, and while im at it, rig to the rear one to squirt annoying tailgaters. Thing is though, when ya pop the hood, the hole to reach the damn things is about 3 inches away from where the washer hoses are, so once ur lucky enough to unhook the stock ones, i was unable to rig the leds on there since they require ya to have the rubber washers and nut bolts and stuff screwed on, and theres hardly no room to work with.

So was just wonderin if anyone else has done this and got a better way of goin bout it besides from just have to cut the metal hole bigger to where i can actually get to them.

I did this and it was a b!tch to do. hardest $12 bucks I've ever had to install! Once you get it though, it does look nice.

Illegal? i had a pair on my mustang for over a year and half, and just bout most of my driving is done at night and i never had any problems with the cops, or any of my friends, just tryn to add some color and character to my car. And i wouldnt really consider it a waste of $7 either.

It really depends where you are if they're Illegal or not.
I'm pretty sure they're legal in Ontario because I see them at Walmart when I walk by the rice isle.

Your local ordinances, checked at your local Courthouse, will determine if the item is truly illegal. Note that for the VAST majority, any store-bought off-shelf aftermarket nozzle equipped as such will either say "For Off-Road Use Only" or "Check Local Laws Before Installing." That's the company covering their ass.

However, whether your local officers decide to enforce the rule is another thing altogether.

Defiant is just trying to keep you guys on the good side of legal - of course, you can cross the line, but that's at your own risk.

Rice or not?

That's totally up to you to decide.

The absolute best idea is to rig the lights with a manual switch that powers on with the parking lamps, but can be cut off independently. This allows you to have at least some degree of stealth and discretion.

to install mine, i took a dremmel and cut out enough under the washers so that i had easier access. It took like 5 minutes to cut out enough on both sides.

I had green ones and got pulled over 3 times in a week.. Got warned the first 2 and got a fix-it-ticket the 3rd. After that i figured it wasnt worth it.. The only legal forward facing lights have to be amber color or white. Blue = Cop , Red = Fire, Green = Ambulance

this is my understanding also, which is why i am yet to be pulled over by any cop since i have white.

green is military not a ambulance...but still illegal in pretty much all US states...it's just up to the cop or not on weither or not he wants to pull you over

Applies to Rhode Island of course, but its the same with most states. Idk the $75 fine isnt worth it to me really.

ok well now my deff of a ricer would be some ### with a shitty car who buys all the "fast and furious" type shit to make it look like his car is bad ass, in which it really isnt.

I think a 95 Eclipse GSX is excluded from the list of the shitty cars, and this simple mod will only make it more unique. You can flame about how much "rice" it is all u want, but i didnt ask for your opinion of the "rice" level of this item, only some hints on how to install them.
