For starters I only have one wiper nozzle on my car as of right now (ordered one from mitsu that should be here any day now). With that in mind, I was wondering why my other nozzle barely sprays any fluid. Could it just be because that other nozzle isn't there yet? or would it have to be a problem with a piece of hose or something? weak motor?

Just trying to get this figured out before i have to keep all the dirt and salt off my windshield :(

Thanks!

 This is a funny question. OK, here goes..... You have one fluid hose coming from the pump and resoiver (sp?) leading to you hood where the nozzles are located. Then that one hose splits into a 'Y' to go to each nozzle. One nozzle in not there which means that end of the 'Y' is just resting under the hood. Everytime you spray the fluid, about 85% of it is taking the path of least resistance (ei. the side w/o the nozzle). Once you add the new nozzle, there will be equal resistance and pressure and you will get equal flow out of each. I hope I answered your question. :thumb:

ok, thanks for the help... and yes... it was a funny question OMG

Yeah, I went to autozone and napa first to see if they had them any cheaper... they just took me to their "things that light up" section

K one of my washer nozzles is plugged and not spraying any more just wondering how i get it out to throw the replacement in... i heard you have to cut a hole under it to take it out...

Take a look. They just pop out. From underneath, disconnect the line going towards the nozzle from the washer fluid line, and then pop the sprayer off the hood.

Being extremely careful, take a very small tip flathead, or something of that sort and try to get under it.. Most likely the paint is holding it tight. There are little clips that hold it tight in the front and back of it. I know this because my clips are loose and the nozzle thing wont stay in the hood.

i must have lost one of the damn clips because the one on eht epassenger side will not stay down in it's place. It looks retarted leaning to one side.

well i got them off. they where definatly designed to not come off took a pair of vice grips to pull that bi*** out.

i hope you're not planning on replacing them with those l.e.d. light nozzles :barf:

My passenger side one will not stay down either. Can these be bought at any parts store, or must they come from a dealership or bone yard?

For the clogged nozzle, just soak it in alcohol. Also they are being held down by tabs. I have cleaned mines on many occasion's.

Where is everyone ordering thier oem repalcements from?

yeah, does anyone know where to get nozzles that arent like chrome and shiney?

i just want a set like those on my gf's carolla... those things soak the whole damn windshield, and they are stock!

I'd expect you could use Toyota nozzles. It's not really breakthrough technology. I always thought Ford's being tied onto the wiper arms was something they did right.

My grand am has them comming out of the wiper arm. There pretty nice. The only problem is any faster than 45 and they only get one small area.
I drilled a hole in my new hood to put mine in. :talon:

its funny, on my chevy astro i had the wiper nozzles on the arms and it worked well during the summer, but during the winter they would always freeze up. ive had my car in the winter for two seasons and they've yet to freeze (knock on wood). next time i see my gf im gonna ask to take a look at her nozzles. :thumb:

GM did that on the 80-87 (91) trucks and suburbans too.

Fantastic results where the wiper was tracking, don't know why they stopped, or worse, why we have a sprayer that can either miss the rear window or trickle all over the place on the hatch instead of one sprayer on the arm itself.

yeah the rear wiper nozzle sucks. mine just tinkles on the back window. its almost useless. i think im just gonna angle it up so it shoots cars behind me, cause its completely useless otherwise.

ive never seen a cat that has nozzles that are easy to remove

you'd think they would melt too, from all that heat that goes through the exhaust under the car. OMG
