t28 vs. 16g and o2 waste gate dumps

ok so im having trouble deciding between a T28 and a 16G. i plan on upgrading my fuel system and doing a gm maf all hard piping and a fmic. which would be the best for my 300hp goal? ive heard great things about the 16G's but haven't looked into the T28's yett. so i need your advice on which one to get

also the o2 wastegate atmosphere dump. is it more fuel efficient or will it just make my engine bay dirty? i know i need to replace the o2 housing but is it better for it to dump into the exhaust rather than atmosphere?

The FP Big T28 is a great turbo, and it will bolt on to everything you have now, and easily hit your goals. The ONLY thing the 16G has going for it is price, and that's only if you're buying a used one. If I was going for 350 AWHP, I'd get the Big T28, no doubt about it.

thanks man! ive seen the price of the T28 and i wasnt happy. but my goal is a just for now i plan on rebuilding the motor and getting to 4-500whp. '

but do u know anything about the atmosphere waste gate dump?

You'd be hard pressed to see an increase in fuel efficiency due to an O2 dump, remember the wastegate is only open basically at WOT.

Neither the 16G (any flavor) nor the FP Big T28 will COMFORTABLY take you above 400 WHP. You can do it, it's been done, but it's more cost than it's worth.

yeah i mean 400hp is enough for me. it will make me happy aslong as i can beat it

If you have emissions then dumped o2 won't pass. In your range a recirculated o2 isn't going to be a restriction so I'd say to go recirculated. If yiu havent looked up YouTube videos of atmosphere dumped housing then check them out.

Quite possibly you will get annoyed with it very quickly. Also the more boost you run the less it will be open until you hit you set boost limit.

For a 400hp goal you might want to look at something a little larger to hit it easier.

Simple bolt in install, and will easilly get you over 300HP.

As others have said, the T28 is going to be a direct swap, the 16G will require an install kit, j-pipe, ect. I ran a dumped o2 on my GSX and I personally loved it. It really is a love it or hate it kind of thing. I have talked with numerous people who went to a a dumped housing and then switched back to a recirculated one. If you are planning for more power down the road but still want to retain a street friendly car then I would suggest going the route of the 16G. Just make sure everything else is squared away first, i.e maintenance and supporting mods.

yeah i know the whole matenance thing ive done all that already. i know what it requires to do a 16g, but i mean whats the difference i know the cost is completely different. but what are the pros n cons of them? and i dont live in a state where they check for smog so i can do pretty much anything i want!

If you look into to it you would see by the time you purchased a new 16g and the install kit from FP youd be looking at around 775.00 and the T28 is only 50.00 more so as for price there really isnt to big of a difference. at least i dont think it is
