I have a 1g turbo cluster with 114xxx miles on it if you need it...i will let it go cheap. PM me for a price and i hope you get the gremlins figured out!

so i finally get my car running after having it robbed and vandalized and now im having problems. first, it got cold the other night and while i was opening my passenger side door i broke the handle i just put in it... no big deal. next, my sunroof started leaking on my way into work... sweet. then my directionals stopped working. i thought it might have been a fuse but none are blown. then i thought it was the directional stalk itself... but then why would my hazards not come on either? next my gas gauge stopped working... no idea why but im hoping if i replace the cluster that will be solved. anyways, the way my car was performing, all of those things really didnt bother me... until today. its raining pretty hard so i wasnt beating on the car much. im at a stop light and i boost it up pretty high in first and it boosted great... so i let off and start cruising again until i come to an increased speed zone, so i put it in second and bring it up to boost slowly. at about 3500rpm my car bogged down... sounded like it hit rev limiter... so i try to boost again and still no luck... i quickly glanced under the hood and nothing seemed to be out of place (of course it was raining and i wasnt trying to get all wet) so i pull up to a light and the car starts to idle poorly, dropping down to about 500 before the car stalls.. so i start it back up and rev it a little and it idles fine... seems that everytime i try to boost it it wont idle after... so now the car is in the garage, and the honda (of course you need a honda when you own a dsm ;) ) is going on the road in the morning. so any ideas on any of these topics? any feedback would be awesome. and parts for sale that i may need would be great. :talon:

Dam sucks too hear about it:notgood: :notgood:

If you are having electrical problems, check your fuses. Double check the fuse box under the hood, and inside underneath the dash. If that doesn't work check your wires to see if are properly connected.

On my last dsm, my 3rd brake light wasn't working. Happens the previous owner had cut the wire. So we connected the wires back, and the brake light was working.

I am thinking about your idle and stalling problems, but I just don't want to random suggest something.

Hope this helps. Stay boostin

Wow, sounds like you have some really bad carma going. Sorry to hear about all the problems. :(

The idle problem sounds like you may have a leak in the recirculation pipe, almost as if you're venting. However, I would think that would have to be a pretty hefty leak for it to act the way it is. Regardless, you may want to check to see if that pipe is loose or not on properly.

Since you were boosting hard, you might have just created a boost leak...just a suggestion.

I would also sell that car and get another...some cars are just cursed. :)

I wish I could offer more help with the rest of your problems, but I would hate to steer you in the wrong direction....However, I can give you some insight on your fuel gauge (probably the least of your concerns, but hey, every little bit helps, I guess, LOL).

The fuel gauge is connected to the fuel level sending unit that is located in the gas tank, on the fuel pump bracket. If you open your hatch and look at the wires coming from your fuel pump plate, the two yellow wires power your gauge and your fuel idiot light. First, make sure they are connected properly and are in good condition (I have heard of them coming loose and grounding out on the car, so check the wires before you pull the pump). If they look okay, pull the pump and make sure the tank floater is not stuck (this happens more than you'd think). If it looks okay, you can test the little sending unit itself by hooking it up to an ohmmeter.
Manually raise and lower the floater arm while checking resistance on the sending unit (completely full - 2-3ohms, empty 115-120 ohms).

If it's bad, you can replace the sending unit itself, or just find another pump bracket that has a working one installed. I picked mine up for $20.00.

Edit: I think there is a way to test the resistance without removing the pump bracket, but this is the only way I've done it personally. maybe someone will chime in with the other way to do it :)

Sounds like you have a major boost leak. My car did the same thing when my BOV somehow poped out. Either create your own boost leak tester, or just go pick one up at your local automotive store for around $30.

well i figured out the problem with the boost... apparently my lower intercooler hose popped off when i boosted so i put that back together and tightened all the other hoses up too... the car is running very well now. still no directionals or gas gauge but i will try the above suggestions tomorrow and post the results... thanks for the input. :talon:
