^^Same. You also will run out at some point and not have more to refill it with. I have not heard of anyone using a float switch to modify their tune when the reservoir empties either. IMO using meth is getting away from the "free power" that running a turbo offers. Reminds me of nitrous, fun until the bottle runs out.

I have a 1.5 gallon tank in the back. I don't even notice honesty. The amount I use is tiny as I'm only using it in boost. I have a
Fails age gauge so I'm not worried about blowing my motor. I'm gunna be switching to e85 soon so it doesn't matter. Im going to change the timing table to a 2g

Holy shit, I've never compared to two table. The 1g is very aggressive in comparison to the 2g

So you agree and think I should switch my timing table to the 2g and go from there? I tryed the Evo table, how does that engine run with that timing? It was awful

I tried the Evo table, the car ran like sh**

x2. I run a very modified 2g timing table, I also use 70-90 times to figure out how I'm doing with my tune, I've gotten it from 2.2 in the 16g, to consistent 1.3-1.4 times in the v2 68hta flowing about 46-47lbs a min. No meth, 93 pump gas. basically what these guys are trying to tell you is trial and error, that's what it all comes down to. I feel like meth is kind of a band aid.. but I drive my car every single day up until winter hits, I don't want to have to worry about running out or something going wrong.

I'm running Devils own 50/50, were would you recommend lowering the timing , as boost peaks?

I'm running boost juice, this is my toy so I have the luxury of not having to worry as much fortunately. I don't look at it like
A bandaid, I'm using a number 5 nozzle from Devils own which is very little. I think
The technology is incredible, using water and etoh to cool the intake change. I don't believe running the engine on its edge is necessary in my case..... Until e85 is pump everywhere, this is how it's gunna be I guess. I'm dropping my block off at my buddys at rrt (Raif) on Thursday to get machined. So I can really turn it up.

Im also running boost juice. I like meth injection. I have no e85 near me and racegas is way too expensive. I'd lower timing from 75% total boost to redline. Drop it a decent amount and turn up the boost. I noticed my fp green really woke up after 22 psi. Id assume the fp red and black would really shine around 30 psi. I really want to see what you can do with the fp black. Im constantly torn between upgrading to fp red or black. (More towards black )

I feel like I need to clarify.. I wasn't knocking you guys for running meth in any way shape or form, but because I daily drive my car, not a weekend toy, not a street/strip car.. I felt like meth wasn't the right path in my situation, the more time I spend around fellow DSMers the more I realize the guys that actually commute/daily drive 400+ horsepower dsms are pretty few and far between.

Your right. These cars are getting old and need more maintenance. Driving around with a welded cent diff for half a year and numerous 3rd gear pulls finally trashed my trans. This is on low 300whp.

Man...now I'm scared because I have had a welded dif for a while now...

The evo table is for a much more modern engine package. I don't know the difference in cams, CR of the pistons, cylinder head design, etc. All of these factors will play into how much timing the motor needs to be optimal. I strongly suggest picking whatever timing basemap you care to start with and tuning it. There is not going to be a 2g map that will just "work" for your car. It might allow it to drive around and idle but it will be far from perfect for a modified motor. If you've done anything that modifies how your motor breathes air then your timing table needs to be changed to suit the motor. I would not get comfortable with the idea that there is a table that is going to just be "right" for your car when you paste the values in, there is not a table like this on the internet or on anyone else's car and it's a tune to your needs type of deal..... every time.

On the subject of diffs.... I bought a quaife for my car and installed it..... will never look back. :) Pricey option but well worth the advantages it offers. Cornering under load is quite amazing now.

Very true, that's why in my original posted I had noted that I had a very modified 2g table, some things certainly need to be addressed immediately, I prefer a bit of a hybrid approach to it as with stock 1g compression you have a lot more room to play then the 2g guys do.

If i daily drove my car i wouldnt rely on water meth either. I also wouldnt be going wot everyday. Before the water meth i was tuned in 92 octane at 400whp. The water meth really helped with my timing advance. I still dont get too agressive with timing just incase the meth acts up.

Welded diff isnt too bad but then again i dont daily drive it. Welded diffs arent for a daily driver. 4 spider center diff is a much better choice.

Are you running a stock block? Im still running a stock block but with arp studs. Its truly amazing how much this little engine can take, im at 26psi give or take on the fp black. As the boost increases i can feel the turbo coming alive, im going to turn up the boost to 30psi and drop the timing 25% at peak boost and go from there.

Just want to thank everyone for their help and opinions. Its appreciated. :thumb:

Haha yes it does, I just sold my green. The internal wastegate is a pile of dog shit. I upgraded to the jmfab Tial Mvr setup. It's rock solid, I'll never go back
