Ok so when I go to start my car I turn the key to the in position and I hear it click from the starter but doesn't turn over. So I turn the key off then try again and I hear it click again... If I do that a couple times it will crank eventually. And I replaced the starter and it still does it. Any idea why this happens and what I should check?? Thank you for any help!!

Dirty battery terminal, dirty connection from battery ground to body and engine ground, dirty or bad positive wire from positive battery terminal to the starter, and when you answer Steve he will give you the other things to check out!

This is pretty common, especially in 2gs.

When I run into this the first thing I do is jump the solenoid on the starter:
1. PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL AND HAVE E BRAKE ON
2. grab a jumper wire and put 2 female terminals on the end. Then, run one up from the solenoid to near the battery.
3. DOUBLE CHECK NEUTRAL POSITION and turn the key to the on position
4. carefully tap the solenoid jumper wire to the + terminal.

If it turns over right away you can suspect there isn't enough amperage to turn it over. These are possible explanations:
1. a bad power connection = replace the wire from starter to battery with 4-2 gauge.
2. a bad signal connection = inspect/repair the black and yellow single wire that runs to solenoid (one you pulled off) *this has a connection in the engine bay.
3. starter is seized up and worn = replace the starter.
4. starter getting stuck on the flywheel cant turn it over = incorrect spacing wrong starter(fwd vs awd etc) usually "fixes" itself by wearing the gear LOL
