Starter problems

Ok well right now my car stalled and I went to start it back up and the starter makes a loud noise but doesn't turn it over. Please help I'm stuck in a parking lot 20 miles from home. Also the throw out barring is going bad maybe that's the problem?

If the starter is making a loud noise there is probably a problem with the starter and ring gear meshing. However your description is not very descriptive.

It just makes a loud noise I can't really describe the sound but it wont turn the car over. It's not Jammed I put the car in neutral and rolled it then three it in gear to make the fly wheel move and it still does the same thing.. I have two predictions the fly wheel teeth are stripped or the appendix on the starter busted

your lucky this happened to you on a 420.. . Doing a starter in a parking lot on a 4g63 is a huge PITA

It is a 4g63 And it wasn't bad at all.
