ps mods, 2.4 stroker, port polished head, 264 cams evo III. stock flywheel and clutch

Hey I had something similar to this I no it sounds crazy but I couldn't get my gsx to do anything I would turn the key and nothing. I endend up pushing it and then dropping the clutch and it started and I havn't had a problem yet. I also just put a new starter on it.

Well when my gsx wouldn't start and I could turn it over and hear a noise but still wouldn't start i took off my timing belt cover both top and bottom of my 2g gsx and found out that the crank had eaten off teeth from my timing belt. There is also another belt behind the timing belt and that is the "B" belt. That was also toasted.
If I were you I would check the timing belt if you are still having problems trying to get the car to start. Just to make sure everything is on top dead center and in alignment.
Hopefully this helps!:thumb:

His problem doesn't involve timing. His starter physically isn't turning the flywheel. Can you turn the motor over by hand? I would hate to think the motor is locked up so bad that the starter can't move it. Was the new starter for an AWD model. There is a difference and it can cause the problem you are having.

the motor is not locked up i can turn it by hand. the balance shaft belt is gone. i got eliminater kit. when i turn the key the motor turns but not start. the cam gears are turning and everything. its like the starter doesnt have the power or something is not lining up right but its got to be lined up if everything is turning. timing is on. i checked about having the right starter everytime i got a new one and they said its the right one. the front crank seal started leaking so i took everthing apart except for timing belt and i went to start it to make sure it was coming from the crank seal and thats when it started grinding and not starting idk if u have any ?'s ask away cause i dont know whats wrong.

sorry also the battery has full charge and the volt drop only takes it down to like 11 i also checked all the wires to that starter and they are fine

Then start at your basics. Are spark and fuel there? Did you plug the cam sensor and everything back in?

yes chanley exactly right. there is spark and there is fuel. it almost started last time i was messing with it. but the grinding is just horrible and no matter what i do it doesnt go away. the car has yet to start since this problem

anyone have any ideas? or anything new to try?
