starter issue.

Last night i finished putting the car back together after putting a new clutch in. When i went to start the car, nothing happened.All i herd was something spinning. So im assuming it's the starter. The car worked just fine before the clutch went out. Never had a starting problem. Just curious if anybody knows how to fix this.

Make sure that the starter bolts are tightened all the way and make sure that all connections are good. Maybe give it a tap while trying to crank it to see if that helps anything. Also, if you haven't already done so, make sure the battery is fully charged.

Alright ill try that tonight. It has been sitting for about 3 weeks, so the battery would make sense.

Sounds like the solenoid isnt kicking the gear out.. Give a couple good taps with a hammer, should free it up..

Should I tap on it while the car is on? Or off? Or what?

Tap on it while someone else is trying to start/crank the engine. You WILL need an assistant.

I had to replace the connection to mine after having the original rebuilt
