Starter issue or misfire?

My car just startef doing this yesterday. But not always. It sometimes just dies when i put it in neutral. Again not always. Anyone has ran into it? My friend says its starter but it sounds like a random misfire sometimes on idle..

Just to make sure it has been dying on neutral for a month. It just started to do this on start up yesterday.

Could this be related to bad battery? I dont know how old it is but my alternator was f***ed and it was charging 16 volts for half a year. Its fixed now but i left the same battery

Last owner did not know. I have a car 2 years

Use a volt meter and/or get the battery tested. Battery is probably roasted.

Possibly, yes. My car won't run with a low battery.

It sounds like a weak battery but could be a binding starter. Have someone check the battery and use a hydrometer to check the individual cells. I’d personally start with a real battery i.e Interstate battery.

Optima is a good choice too
