2G starter problem?

Hi so i just finished rebuilding my motor dropped it in hooked everything up turn the key everything powers on. gauges light up wont change color for some reason on my glowshift stuck red. go to crank i hear fuel pump kick on no crank no start. weirdly enough headlights i turn on then click off. wont turn off. what could this be?

so your saying that you turn on the headlights, then turn off the headlight switch but the lights stay on?

have you checked to see if your getting spark or if the injectors are firing?

Well I can’t get it to crank or anything and reasonably they were firing before and was getting spark. All I drop was swap short block

Bought a starter relay. Hopefully does the trick we will see if not then check fuses and voltage
