I was wondering why my car is stalling when I go into neutral. It doesnt do it when i just drive lightly around the neighborhood. When i start really driving it stalls everytime i come out of 2-5th gears to neutral. Here is a list of the mods I have.

-HKS 264/272 cams
-Unorthodox underdrive pulley
-Buschur front mount intercooler
-Buschur full 3inch exhaust
-Buschur 3inch downpipe
-test pipe
-2g MAS
-Injen Intake
-255 walbaro fuel pump
-550cc injectors
-Manual boost controller
-Ported 2g exhaust manifold
-Ported O2 housing
-stock 14b turbo
-Blitz BOV
-8mm magnecore wires
-ACT 2600 clutch w/ streetdisk
-short shifter

Could it also be that my car is untuned? In case ya'll wondering, it's untuned because I just put it all in and haven't had time to learn and do it. Anyone know what the problem could be and how to fix it?

It is stalling because your blow off valve is routed to the atmosphere, and you are using a 2G MAS without any device to tell the ECU where all of that air is going. You need to either get a BOV that can be recirculated, or purchase a GM MAS and MAF translato to let the car operate in blow-thru mode.

This is even common on a heavily modified and tuned DSMs. Stand-alone solved it for me. Also, make sure your MAS plug is plugged in all the way. Before I had stand-alone, I turned up the base idle just a bit but not too much and it did help a lot but it did not completely eliminate the issue.

This is a very common problem with light flywheels, as you have. You also have cams which can make the problem worse. In the future, if you must throw it into neutral when you're moving (you really should never do this but I won't waste my time explaining why :toobad: ) tap the gas right before it gets to idle to catch it from dying out. There may be additional problems, but for a light flywheel and cams it's pretty normal, I have a light flywheel with stock cams and it will die occasionally if I'm not paying attention.

I've had this problem last year for almost 6 months. I would rev it hard, drop it in neutral and the car would stall. This went on for months! I was afraid to drive my car at the time because it would suddenly stall on me and my power steering would be out as well.

It turns out that my Greddy 18r Intercooler had a major leak.

My advice...do a boost leak test (throttle body elbow and intake section) and make sure that your bov is not vented as well.

oh..i also have a lightened flywheel.

*****UPDATE*****

Well, I got bored and decided to mess with it more. I unpluged a sensor on top of the throttle body and now it doesn't jump around anymore. My idle is around 1700 though because if I have it any lower and I rev up the engine or anything it feels like it wants to stall out. Havent tried driving it and popping it in neutral yet.

I have a similar issue with stalling when i have the clutch in to stop....only does it some time but its a pain when i'm in traffic and i loose my power steering and brakes.... i also have a lightened flywheel.

He unplugs the IPS and the car idles at 1700. Sounds like it was surging before and the BISS has to be out of adjustment. If the ISC is working it's so far out of range that it can't do dashpot emulation anymore.

First thing, find the leaks causing the high idle. Boost leak test works good for this.
Clean throttle body, clean and test the ISC.
Perform the procedures for setting Basic Idle Speed and Base timing.
Make sure that the ECU can idle up the car when you turn the AC on.

I had the same problem.........have you had your battery unplugged recently? When this happened to me it was because my battery got disconnected and once I connected it back up and ran it a couple days.......the ecu picked up the settings again. Once the battery is disconnected the settings are lost on whatever you are tuning with. This helped me, hopefully bring another option to you. Good luck

I thought about the whole battery thing. I thought that might've been it too, but it's been over a month now. I'm thinking about buying a new throttle body. Maybe one of the sensors is shot.

ya Im not for sure. I have read a couple different threads where people have solved this problem in a number of ways. Hopefully you find out what it is. My GSX is in storage right now and I go once a week or so and start it up.....kind of a hassle though. I take my battery out everytime and crap but I have had some experience with storage and its downfall so........good luck though.
