hello guys i have just spun a bearing 2 weeks ago. the car has bin sitting for about alont time (2WEEKS). i cant take it any more so i need to know what i should do wiyh the block. what pistons and rod and crank and so on. so please any one plese help me on a good set up thanx. and what i should do to the block like bore it and every thing thanx and is it rely hard to take the motor out. thanx guys

It isn't that hard to get the engine out. I recommend taking the engine and tranny out the top together. It just barely fits if you tip it just right, but I think it is the best way to get it out. As far as the engine, What do you want to do with it? That will determine your course of action. I'd pull it out and find out whats wrong, and go from there. It may not be too bad, but definitely get new bearings, gaskets, timing belt, etc. In my opinion I think you should pull the b/s if you haven't already. Good luck

I am rebuilding my 4g63 from my 95 Talon TSI that had a spun bearing. If you need the crankshaft repaired I would recommend sending it to Standard Crankshaft. Go to standardcrankshaft.com for more information. It cost about $220 to grind mine and staighten it. You can also just exchange yours for a rebuilt one. They did really good work and I got it back in about 2 weeks. Good luck!

well sorry i have bin away so i havent had time to reply. i want to run in the real low 11's or just #### it all drag. ill take the interior out and every thing cause i have other car so i dont need this for the street so what do you think my best bet is thanx guys. is there any tips on taking the motor out like any tricks.

As far as tricks or tips for pulling the engine, leave the a/c compressor in the car(unless you plan to leave it off....like mine) and leave the lines connected. You can push it out of the way and get the engine by it. Also leave the trans on the engine, (take off the transfer case) and pull it as one unit. I Would also pull the turbo and manifolds with the engine. If I think of any others I'll tell you.

I personally haven't run my car at the dragstrip and doubt it would go faster than high 12s so I will leave the 11 sec. car advice to someone who has done it.

OK thanks allot man i love all the help i cant get the best i ran the car when it was ruining good and tuned was 12.3 so i just need to get it a Lil faster but i also have a 60-1 and hsk cams sitting in my room so i think that will pull me thew to the 11S but thanks for all the help guys thank you i need all i can get.
