so with ebay you can pick up a so called "speed chip" for an easy 20$ that guarantees increase of close to 20hp. got a couple guys that swear by them and a few that feel its done nothing but tear theyre poor engines apart? any input on them?

Come on you already know it's a scam. Most of these things are a resistor to cause the car to run leaner.
