hey everyone, so i was driving to my buddies house this afternoon and while making a turn all of a sudden something apparently broke. it sounds like metal moving around somewhere. it is extremely loud and seems to be coming from the bottom of the motor. car has been running well lately except for the iac code the computer keeps throwing. i don't knoow what the problem may be but it is my dd so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

p.s. i will post a video later tonight if someone can explain to me how.

That could leave 4756 possible options on a DSM. Whats the car doing? Shifting funny? Not going into gear? Does it sound like bottom end noise?

Give some symptoms other than "making noise" so we can try and pin point it.

Also, if you fear it may be the bottom end, drain the oil. If it is...youll know, because the engine oil will look like a heavy flake metallic paint. LOL.

yeah without any specific info we cant really help you out at all. post your video and we can hopefully get it figured out for you

alright so while taking another look at the car and trying to get a video i have some new info. in the process of the video the car was running and the noise was still occuring. all of a sudden the noise got louder and stopped and the car sat at idle. not knowing what happened i shut the car off and got down to look under. underneath the car was the connecter for the stock oil pressure gauge and while looking closer under the car i noticed a piece of a belt stuck in there. my diagnosis at this point is that the wire for the connecter got dragged into one of my belts pulling off the end of the connecter and it got sucked up into my timing belt cover. b/c i checked my belts first and the two visable belts were unharmed. so i guess with the piece in the timing belt cover it shreded a side of the belt and they both worked their way out when i was running the car. now the car idles fine and the oil pressure gauge doesn't work of course. so tomorrow i have to check the timing belt and see how it's doing being that the car is 20 miles away from me. if you guys want the video or picture of the belt/connector just let me know and explain to me how to do it. thank you.
