so to like my temp gauge? cause that works just fine. idk can i drive it w/out it? at least so i can get it to my shop cause that's where all my sauntering stuff is. and my multimeter and everything.

saun·ter

–verb (used without object)

to walk with a leisurely gait; stroll: sauntering through the woods.

Sorry bro, couldn't resist. I believe you are talking about soldering those wires...

It'll drive but the ECU won't know when the engine is at operating temp so it won't idle or cruise at it's best. Might even give you a CEL for engine not reaching operating temp. Saunter down to the shop and get it soldered back up.

Last time I checked the ecu will think it is -45 outside....
Making run richer, Also the ecu does'nt change your fuel trims.Unless you are above around 175 for awhile.....

what really sucks is when that sensor goes bad and has too much resistance, especially when its like -10, yet your car is telling itself that its somewhere in the neighborhood of 280

I noticed my car is missing all the wires there. There is just an empty plug...

Did the mechanic who did my engine swap just forget to put it back in or is there a reason why it's left empty? Because I looked around and I didn't see a loose connector anywhere, but I did find some cut wires.
(JDM GVR4 6-bolt in 2G Eclipse by the way)
