1987 R10 that I rescued from a "Roadkill" enthusiast, but the trash pickers love my house half a sbc, tool box, exhaust, misc. stuff in the bed and firewall thrown to the curb. Truck caught fire and owner gave it up for $400 so I drove it home.

Arh i hated my nismo juke! Such a meh engine and the driving! Dont get me started how weak it is and understeers for days! Never again!

Well the daily Ceed GT has a weak front arm rear bush mainly from hitting so many pot holes! And likely the fact i now have big brakes on it its past what it can handle! Im feeling alot of movement so i think my left bush is weak or has a small split in it.

So for a while I have been working out the best way to replace the arms. So i ended up doing pretty much the entire chassis! Front and rear! In the rear our eccentric bolts seize up and mine just about has so its time to get removed for in arm adjustments now!

As we got a divorded rear spring setup i needed to make sure to keep it moving nicely so those are mounted to a spherical and everything else is now rodends. I considered poly but its not going to make much more noise then poly as im already on coilovers and those things are a bit noisy anyway.

The front is caster adjustable and camber but i needed it to have caster as i feel it needs just a fraction more then stock! Currently we sit at 6.2° caster. So about 7-7.5 will be fine. Its fine on medium speed corners but high speed i get a bit of understeer so this will help with camber gain while turning helping a bit more front end grip. ( Yes i have track'd the car also ) and i needed a quicker turn in so i opted to ip the resr spring rates to help this since no one makes a bigger rear bar currently.

I also got a new slightly larger intercooler for the GT also. Im not shooting for max power as its my reliable daily! But i wanted to make it my way and now drop my intake filter into the oem intercooler location for a cleaner bay look. ( Stealth is the key here ) so all black and the piping will be black also. The core is a fraction bigger meaning it will have slightly better cooling for my current engine output which is more then enough for the daily.

I'm in the same boat looking at buying a house so have to make all projects mobile for at least a tow truck to load up. Got the power brake set up fit just need to connect lines and fit a steering column to get it out of the garage.

Sadly, no more DSM to work on, but I am working on a friend's Mighty Max. Doing a 4g64/63 hybrid engine build with turbo. Might be also helping another friend in a few weeks who's planning on buying a 99 GST. For my own crap, working on guns and building my mini arsenal.

I managed to finish restoring the underside of the Skyline finally, the section around the rear subframe is done as well as the frame itself and the arms. Painted calipers, new braided brake lines, new copper lines, refreshed the diff, shafts and bracketry, also installed a 255 Wally in the tank which should be plenty to feed the 600cc injectors. I don't have the best work conditions to carry out this type of work but I'm trying my best and so far I like how it's shaping up. Not much left now, need to assemble the intake piping system, fab a downpipe, glue on the rear overfenders and then take the car for paint. Should be fully done after that and ready to get tuned and hopefully sold.

I picked this one up to play my ps1 imports, I usually play out of my collection on the ps3 but there’s no way around region restrictions on the ps3, on the ps1 it’s a simple spring and boot disc. I will say, playing on the original PSX console after all these years takes me back, the full start up sequence like you mentioned (pa3 only does the second half when you put a ps1 game in), the noises it makes and the chatter of the optical drive going back and forth, really makes me feel like I’m 10 again gaming on the original PSX for hours on end. The ps3 is nice for playing classics because of the HD capabilities and faster loading, but it doesn’t match the nostalgia of the real thing.

Agreed. Its just too bad that the 'its popular now' crowd has to ruin legitimately everything from our/my childhood. OG PlayStations, N64's, SNES, even the NES are all going for a ridiculous price. God forbid you want any kind of gameboy and games themselves are going for like $60-$100+ a pop on any platform or more. Ridiculous. I'll just emulate them until it comes back down to more reasonable levels. I have my PS still, but I'd really like to get a GB/GBC, and an N64 with a few games to raise my daughter on but I'm not paying brand new console prices for them.

I'm very glad I have a decent collection of PS1/PS2 games, and both consoles too. I HAD an N64 with a bunch of games in great condition but my crackhead(not hyperbole) father stole them, and traded them off for a fix. I had a pretty massive collection, man. Still pisses me off.

Eventually it'll die down. Everything does eventually. Look at baseball cards.

I f*cking love working on this Ford Edge. Swear ford thought “how can I make this car as easy as possible to work on” and then did it.

Did rear brakes today and they use the same style of ebrake and rear caliper as a 1G DSM. Meaning it’s a threaded rod/piston instead of a drum on the inside of the rotor or whatever. Before you do rear brakes there’s a procedure to put the rear brakes in maintenance mode.

What it does? Uses the electronic ebrake to thread the rods fully closed so the brake piston itself? Can be pushed in by hand. By your f*cking hand strength! Then when you slap it together you take it out of maintenance mode and it re-tightens the rod and makes the brakes nice and perfect again. No fuss. No muss. Took me 30-45 mins total time including me stopping and eating in the middle of it all, and lowering/raising the vehicle too.

Every single thing I have had to do has been not just “okay” but legitimately a pleasure. God I wish more car manufacturers did this.


And here’s it all done. What a beauty.

The shifter in my Suzuki Every is SUPER stiff. It has been sitting since around Christmas and I'm assuming that the stupid brass shifter bushings have corroded onto the linkages and are preventing everything from rotating as needed. It's in the garage and the heater's going, and I'll tear into it just before lunch. I wish that I hadn't been in a hurry with this when I installed them and I could have waited for the delrin ones...

That is awesome- is it an erupting volcano? My 5 year old has been really interested in volcanos lately, so we just did a baking soda/vinegar model outside in the dirt with him and he was thrilled

Sadly, I update this thread more often than my build thread.

I have a friends broken Honda Accord currently stored in my driveway. I discovered that sometime in the last few months since it’s been here, it attracted a visit from a converter thief. They left it hanging after they realized there was no money to be made, it was previously gutted.

So today, I installed a skid plate/theft deterrent on my truck for some added protection. It was less costly than my deductible would be if something happened, so that was my justification. The company I purchased it from has a clever name, Skeerdycat
