Been a dam reliable car for me and I knew nothing about Saturn or their engines until the one in this car chipped 2 valves so we rebuilt it. Actually, I bought a rebuilt motor from O'riellys, as I didn't have the time to pull the motor and do a rebuild, but that dam thing never had oil pressure and was a noisy thing. I had the manager come to the shop and see for himself. Really glad I didn't turn in my motor for the $200 core, we just rebuilt it and it has been a blessing of a little engine. I got my $ back for the motor but it took almost a YEAR.
Warning to all..........NEVER buy a Power Torque rebuilt motor. Mine had red grease packed in its oil pump that had hardened up and that company blamed us for doing it only to come to find out that that is the way THEY rebuild their motors. We are all friends at the parts store, but I had to say I was a dissatisfied customer thru coorporate to get my refund.

Nice square body. Reminds me of the old '75 Chevy Blazer I had many years ago. 6" lift with 36" mudders with a removable hardtop to make it a convertible. It would go anywhere. Love your truck!

I’ll be moving (again) to a more expensive city, and my first project when I get back is to dust off my 1998 Plymouth Neon ACR. It’s 1 of 52 ACR coupes in this color for 1998, I paid $225 for it at a salvage auction in 2010 and saved it from the scrapper. It was bad.

I have only driven my automatic Infiniti G37X tank for the past few years, and since the Evo is nowhere near done, this is the right answer to get me in a fun car again.

It needs:
Clutch (ordered from RockAuto, $42!!)
Clutch cable (ordered)
Engine coolant pipes (ordered) and cooling system overhaul
Mild rebuild on the 2.0 DOHC, basically timing belt and head gasket job
And a bunch of odd jobs to make it useable daily

I already have a new set of Koni struts, 14:1 steering rack and poly bushings on the car, it handled quite well. The interior was done and looks really nice, just needs an audio upgrade.

With a few minor upgrades, basically to STS autocross spec, it should be a fun 135whp car to boot around in while I gather the funds to continue on the Evo. I can’t tell you how nice it is finding needed parts in junkyards, and I can’t believe how low the prices are on fixing this thing.

Oh my gosh that hit me right in the nostalgia! I love it! PB3 intense blue pearl. Best paint code ever made. My dream vehicle has always been a 2nd gen eclb 24v since that color came out in ‘98. Owned a 6’ bed but lost it to rust/numerous destroyed transmissions. Just couldn’t justify the cost to fix the body and manual swap it on a 6’ box.

I’ve been working on the driveway, like most winters. I have about 8 different shovels depending on snow/ ice conditions. The big day workhorse is a blue scooper/ pusher that can probably move about 100 lbs per bite. You end up building a ramp shaped line of snow, where the next load gets dumped at the apex , extending the ramp up and out.
It is a chore, but honestly I love being out in the snow.

If anyone's interested I've also been working on my 2000 durango with the 5.9. I picked it up for 200 and it was completely stock. It has 35s on it now.

I did work on a tuned EcoBoost mustang by gapping it in my grandma SUV. Does that count? :p

But yeah. Haven't worked on anything, DSM or not. Been kinda nice, but now I'm itching to use all the new electric tools I got for Christmas.

Build a brace for that procharger bracket. They flex and go through belts like crazy. I've done a couple of them for people! Good looking car

Been looking for a good way to add a brace. IF you check my tensioner its machined to hold the pulley to push down on the belt with an upgraded belt as well... i can hit 14psi and havent shredded this one....yet. It use to shred when I had the 10psi pulleys before my modification.

I have have fuel and injector upgrades yet to do as well.. car has lmgt4 wheels and hks exhaust... i saved this from its previous owner who pushed the crank seal out..

I can get some pics of the last one I did. It used to eat belts every 1500 miles. Been a couple years now same belt!

Would love to see your solution! Ive seen a few different ones online but none are made anymore and I hesitate to drill into the pricey procharger brackets.

Yeah, pm me your number sometime I'll have the guy go get me a few pics. If I remember, I used all previous bolt holes and some things I had sitting around the shop.

Yeah it’s a love hate…. 1st to 2nd is non existent @11psi on the street but when it comes to high way trolling only have to worry about spinning a little bit 😂😂

I tried these baby slicks at the track last time and car went from its usual 11.4/ 11.5 to 11.9/12.1

I used the f trans for longer gearing... but still spun all the time... 3rd gear highway pulls were a blast... i was up to about 800 wheel and finally sold it so someone else can enjoy...

Do miss how easy and readily available honda parts are

Yeah I have a gsr transmission that was a miracle find because it had less than 10k miles on it and was just in a guys garage before I had it fully built but The parts market is like no other!!! That’s why I beat on the civic and cruise in my galant (I can’t afford to break it and search for parts for months 😂😂)
