The other night I tried to start the 3000, and it acted like the battery was stone cold dead. That was confusing to me, since I just started it a few weeks ago when it was much colder and it started easily then.

I decided to plug the tender in to trickle charge it back to life, and it acted like I had a poor connection at first. I messed around with it and it started charging. I walked in the house and came back out an hour later and it was showing 6.0 volts. Cool right? I walk back in, come back out an hour later and it again acts like its got a poor connection.

Tired of messing with it I unplugged it, closed the hood and called it a night. I tracked down my regular battery charger, hooked it up and it freaked out when I turned it on. At that point I was going to pull the battery and try charging it not hooked up. At that time I had an AHA moment.

I pulled the terminals, cleaned them, hooked it back up and it fired up like nothing had been wrong.

Its the first time I ever had an issue with these terminals. They are the gold plated Monster terminals that were on my OG car when I got it in 02.

It drove me a little crazy, but at least it was a simple fix.

Is that an actual Brabus G wagon?
No, this is some rigged up 07 g55 from Dubai that someone imported to Tennessee and sold to some kid around here. Lot of weird stuff going on with it (entire interior has been swapped from a 2017 model, including the middle section of the old cluster was installed into them headliner above visor. Unfortunately nothing I can do for him to get the odometer part working.

I've tried to assist my son on the "new" to the herd, antique, 1987 Honda Accord Hatchback. We already need a gas tank as rust has gotten into it, but they are NLA so we're going to try Vinagar, or Muratic Acid if the vinegar doesn't work good enough. 🤞 He needed a better MPG car than his 400SBC Z28 ROFL

Oh boo on the fakeness
Wouldn't be surprised if it was stolen in the US, shipped to Dubai, and now it's resold back into the US.

That's awesome. Perhaps not the most attractive Honda, but very durable and efficient. Also does that model have the 14's or 15's? It's becoming very hard to find 15 inch tires for the older Hondas and we're having to use alternate sizes or swap wheels.

I think it has 14" rims. I will look later today and thanks for the info!

It has 14's on it. I have been buying Douglas All Season for my DD Saturn that has 15" rims and at a reasonable cost of $45-$55 each at WallyWorld (WM). I really DO NOT like doing business with them (they escorted my ass out and threatened to trespass me, so :f-u: them) but I get my RX and will buy their tires. They are about a 40k mile tire.

This thread is fun and a good idea! Lots of interesting stuff going on.

For me, I have race season prep for my Duc:

Motorcycle racing is a very physical thing to do, I know what's required from previous years' experience, so another project is getting into shape for racing:

My tow vehicle needs a few upgrades, so I'll by pulling the transmission to install a shift kit and installing an upgraded transmission cooler:

Finally, my toy hauler is embarrassing, and I would like my sponsors to feel good about having their logo on my trailer, so I'm going to do something to make this hunk of crap look a little nicer:

Last, but not least, I need to reboot my website, again, for my sponsors:

Once aaaaall that stuff is done, I'll get back to my DSM which, truth be told, is probably my favorite project at the moment.

Now I've got to know how the hell this happened LOL
