small whine...what to check?

at about 40 or so in 4th or 5...whine coming from the front...the transmission fluid is new...what else do i need to check? is it the differential?

4th maybe but 5th would probably put you under 2k, I never drive my car under 2500. You need to tell us more about the whine.
