Problem : coolant was boiling, when shut off it would spit it out ..Happened a couple of times , Had the thermostat pulled out after the 1st time it happened (happened 3-5 times)
Thought it was the head gasket, pulled the head -the gasket looked fine , water pump looks good (was missing some bolts )-(how ever was not leaking)
Had the rad flushed the 2nd time it happened re did all the coolant etc (No there was no air in the system ) checked it double checked tripple and quad checked it
Also after the 1st time i changed the cap to a saftey pressure cap , tryed 2 good caps from other good working talons
I am at a lose what else i need to check or fix ,before i put it back together ..Also yes my fan is working and coming on

both hoses get hot hot hot , blockage some where maybe but where ...Had the rad flushed have it off it flows good water pump looks good , ...

Dang this is a tough one, the only other thing that comes to mind is the headgasket, but you said that was good. What kind of headgasket did you put on there?

Are you sure the water pump you have on the car is pushing the coolant in the proper direction of flow? When you did the coolant flush did you turn the heater on?

Coolant flush of course the heat was on full blast , as well as when it was filled etc ..Done it many many many times
I will try the heater core tomorrow ..There has to be something i am over looking
The right way of flow ??? i thought they all flow the same way ???

Curious. Why did you pull the headgasket? Did you do a compression test first?

comp test no , jumped the gun .At the same time i am glad i did , the water pump was missing a couple bolts and they were lose (but it was not leaking at all )

If your sure you have the same parts#s on both, then they should flow the same way.

it happened to me before it end up to be the water neck itself where you seal the cap , it was wrapped and it was allowing collant through and not to be pressured correctly because it did not seal well with the cap. after i changed this neck its perfect . no boiling no pushing coolant nothing . just try it and see and if you are in doubt just double the rubber seals on your radiator cap if your problem is fixed then just go and get a new water neck its around 30 USD new.

Easiest way I know to check if the heater core is blocked would be to bypass it by unhooking the two heater core hoses from the firewall and hooking then together. If problem persists that's not the prob, if it fixes it time to replace the heater core.
