anything else to check before I drop trans

alright so I'm having a serious issue with my new transmission, it's quite frustrating since I can't move the car back in the garage, even though the transmissions as close to the neutral postion as it can be from direct shifting, the timing will still move as if engaged..

after I take it out again, I was going to have a transmission shop inspect everything..since I have no idea of the insides

You can manually put the trans in neutral ifvyou disconnect the shift cables if you are stickvshift that is

what kind of transmission is it? i have had my tranny out multiple times and so has my friend with his dsm, i now have a shep stage 3, whenever i had to take my tranny out i just made shure it was in neutral.
