small 16G or not

I got this turbo off a 93 tsi at the junk yard. i have been searching and i think its a small 16G. but some other people told me it isn'

can i not tune with the SAFC and my 450's. also what do i need, the wideband and a logger or just the wideband. i'm trying to tune with what i have right now until I can save enough money to buy all the good stuff like a dsmlink and good injectors and all that stuff but it will probably take me like 6 months to save enough

Well..You could run the turbo at wastegate pressure..

12 psi would not be that bad on the motor...But a logger would help you make sure your not hurting the engine..

Actually..Why didn't I think of this sooner...Check the ecu to see if it's black..

I'm not sure if its an all 2gb thing or a 98-99 thing..

But if it is you can flash the ecu..Not sure if it logs or not...Which is why I'm going to leave that for someone else..

Only '98-'99 ECU's were the black plastic models. The '97 ECU came in a gold metal case and can be converted to an EPROM ECU if you choose.
