Only had the car a few weeks. The vacuum line that goes to the top of the BOV is rubbing against the hood and causing the line to rip after a while. I have fixed it for now, but I didn't put the BOV on the car and I dont have any kind of manual and i have searched. Anyway I want to know if i can simply turn the top of the BOV so that the vacuum line isnt as high. Like I said, just got the car a few weeks ago, previous owner didnt have it recirculating and the inlet pipe on the BOTTOM of the intake pipe...

You can pop out the allen screws and rotate the cap. There is a least one spring on the inside so be carefull when you get to the last few. I'd take them out in a criss-cross pattern. Can also check the diaphragm since you're in there. Also get your BOV recirculated back into the intake. You'll more than likely have problems with idle and running rich since you are venting metered air.

Basically everything he said. It is very easy to do, but make sure you keep pressure on the top of the bov so the spring doesn't pop the top off. It would be good to loosen the adjustment screw all the way out before opening it up.

big no no... vented bov without proper setup ... replace that whole hard intake pipe because it does not have the dump tube inlet...

ehh don't have to replace the whole thing since it is a nice setup.

Take it to a shop and have them weld on a flange for you to recirculate. Also a way to cap it off. Maybe one day you will wanna do a maft setup.

but yea easiest fix would be rotate the pipe after you loosen the couplers. Good Luck with the dsm

Thanks guys, I just took the cap off and rotated it. Easy fix. I'm not sure on if i want to mess with the piping right now, but that would definitely help with recirculating the BOV since, as you can see in the picture, the inlet on the intake pipe on the bottom...there is very little room between the IC Piping and the intake pipe...

Like I said, recently bought the car, new to being my own mechanic, but I have been browsing articles on this site for years and waiting for a good 2g to pop up in my area and this one finally did!

I have a recirc pipe, I attempted to see if i could find a way to make it fit right, but since the IC piping was custom welded its not perfect, but i will find a way soon trust me. Idle is kinda rough occasionally and it stalls if you gun it up to like 25mpg and then let off, or gun it and then slow down to 25mph. I usually shift into neutral when i drop below 1500rpm when slowing down too which probably doesnt help.

Sadly the recirculation isnt on the top of the list. Car was lowered and rear camber has eaten through a good set of Falkens...going to perform the DIY rear camber kit, ingalls camber for the front, and alignment before I get to recirculate.

With recirc pipe as close to fitting as possible right now:

You should be able to get that recirc. tube onto the BOV. It can bend a little just don't have it pinched. If not then just get some rad hose and use that.

I actually tried to at least find some radiator hose at oreilly's today, but the biggest they had was too small, and the guy just wanted to talk about his friends twin turbo'd dodge truck. Sounded interesting, but i wasnt there to BS about things. They told me to go to an Oreillys at a different part of town. Would Radiator hose would be fine to be sitting next to/on the IC pipe? And as far as bending that tube goes can I do this my self by forcing it or does it need to be heated up to do that? Im not much into custom fabrication of metal pipes LOL.

The rad hose will be fine if it's touching the IC piping. I was just talking about flexing it over to the outlet on the BOV just as long as it isn't pinched shut or really kinked. Try turning it around, it may give you a better angle to use.
