Ok guys, this week I swapped out my 14b with an evo 3 16g. Got it running yesterday and today I started tunning with ecmlink. While I drove down the street I started smelling oil burning. I looked under the car and found my turbo return line leaking oil and running down my exhaust. It wasn't pouring just dripping. Drove it back to my house very slow and easy, and drained the oil. It had about 3 quarts after I drained it, but it had small silver magnetic flakes. Thats all I could do for today since it was already dark. My question is, from where could those metal flakes come from? Turbo would be my thought? Also I removed my oil cap and from what I could see, the cams were being lubricated. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

There's nothing silver inside the turbo except the shaft, center housing, and thrust collar. If you have enough shaft play that any of those would be producing metal, you've got huge problems.

It's probably coming from the engine....and if it's in the oil, it's inside your new turbo as well.

Ok, the turbo had very minimal side to side play no in and out. Like I said they were flakes, no big shavings. Tomorrow I will replace the return line gaskets and add new oil and filter, and pray the engine won't knock.
