Bought a Walbro 255hp for my 92 eagle talon tsi. Went to change it(which was a pain) and when i pulled out the old one, it was a Walbro 255. Not the hp version but a regular 255. My goals are to be around 250-300hp. This is my daily driver so I will not be going too crazy. Wanted to upgrade to some 660-680s and a small 16g. The HP pump is brand new, and I dont have fuel injectors so if yall think the normal 255 is enough pump for my goals then im going to sell it and use the money toward some injectors. What do yall pros think?

Sorry im also kinda curious what the flow rate of a normal 255 is over the stock pump and also a 190? Just for reference.

IM JUST STICKING WITH THE HP. Sorry to even post this. Delete if neccessary. Thanks!

seems you found your answer but 255 lph stands for liters per hour. however you may look into an adjustable fuel pressure regulator if your running a 255 it will try to push more fuel then the stock fpr can hold. resulting in the diaphram going out and your idle can be a little funny from it. ran without an afpr sicne I got the car on a 255 just put one in a cpl weeks back so no huge side effects from it just gave me a bog here and there.

also if you are getting the injectors new, check extreme psi. they have the 650s to the 850s for the same cost for fic injectors

Thanl yall for the info but now ik curious with my hp goals and since a 190 would be sufficient if i sould the 255 for a 190 would i still need or want a AFpr?

Just a bit of advice... When you start to feel more power being produced by this car it is very addictive. I would put money on it that shortly after that you will upgrade a little more. So with that being said might as well keep the 255 for the near future

Literally was thinking the same thing but have to restrain myself. Need something with at least decent gas mileage and reliability. My trucks great but horrible on gas. Maybe ill just get an afpr just in case the addiction takes over!!

I was gonna say the apexi safc that's what I have and it works great

i would use the HP one. wich will be more than enough for your power goals. a single walbro HP will get you over 400HP. it got me to 483 with 1200 injectors so for your power range its more than enough.
