I am looking for the Original Shift knob for a 1995 Eclipse Rs

Alright I been looking through the forums and found several part #'s such as # MR263906 ..... # MB962959 .....

I'm not sure which one is the one that would be the right one for me. Anyone know which part # it would be?

Thanks for the reply I was looking into the #, but is this the actual Knob shift?

I was reading and this # says " KNOB GEARSHIFT LEVER "

What makes you think there is a difference between a "gearshift lever knob" and a "shift knob"?

It is the part that screws on to the "stick" or gearshift lever.

I was looking for the piece that screws on, the stick I have is fine. I was just looking for the Original part # that goes on the Stick aka the " Shift Knob " .

How would you look it up without the part #? Still looking for one if someone stumbles upon the OEM shift knob! Thanks! :)

two things. Are you looking dfor the pistol grip shift knob or the one that looks like a sparco holeshot shift knob. the holeshot is short and small the pistol is larger and longer. no pun intended

The highlighted part is represented by the part number I provided to you previously (MR176097) for a 1995 Eclipse RS. Call JNZtuning tomorrow and ask them to look up the correct part for you, see if it is any different.

Here is a list of the proper part numbers. I am assuming you want the nice counterweighted leather one.... The ones that do not say "leather" are simple plastic versions in the given color noted.

This is the Knob I have at the moment. I appreciate all the help you guys have given me!

I don't hope to sound rude or disrespectful when I type this, if it sounds like I am, then I apologize.

But the part # that you guys have posted above, will it screw on where the chrome ball is? and is it the OEM shift knob?

Also can someone explain the differences in the OEM shift knobs?

Thanks for your help! :)

Junkyards. I saw at least 3 last time I went

Most of the yards I have gone to, the console, and most of the interiors of the car have been taken out. /:

You should take them out and profit it by selling them to members on here that may need it in the future, while earning some cash on the side ;D .

I have an original shift know out of my old Talon ESi in great shape. PM me if interested.

PM'd , thank you!

i need to make a thread of things people could use from junkyards

drip trims
hatch struts
shift knobs

wonder what else?

Bumpers, Seats, interior, knobs, Console area, Bumpers, Steering wheels, Skirts, Lights, Doors? ( idk about the door part LOL maybe ) , Engine area, possibly OEM rims if theyre in good shape ;D, visors, visor clips, mirrors

All that came to my mind!

So what does the GST leather shift knob look like? I've been looking for a solid leather knob for my 98 but most the ones I find don't look anything like OEM. They look like shoe horns. :barf:

At crazy rays there are no shift knobs. I swear some scumbag/genious grabs them all. Or they hold them behind the counter and I never checked. No manual car has a shift knob, ever there.

I saw that post haha, so many randoms :p .

This is the one I run, it really made a difference in how my shifts felt!

That one reminds me of my chrome ball! It is ok and everything, but i wanted to convert back to the old knob if that makes any sense?

That one is definitely not leather.

This may be of some help: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/appearance-interior-exterior/296944-oem-gsx-shift-knob.html

Of particular interest are posts #28, 31, 34, and 44.

I'm not entirely sure, a DSM member sent me that pic of the knob so i thought it may of been the same?

Can you tell me more about the knobs since I can tell you're very experienced with DSM vehicles? I am still looking for the shift knob for my 95 RS eclipse non turbo.

I've already told you what I know about a '95 RS: the shift knob part number is listed as MR176097; it is dark gray and not leather. It's less than $7 from JNZtuning.com.

MB962959 is black leather and the one on the left in these pictures: OEM GSX Shift Knob?
MR263906 is black leather also and the one on the right in these pictures: OEM GSX Shift Knob?
MR166531 is claimed to be a gray leather knob and is verified by Mitsubishi ASA. See: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/app...96944-oem-gsx-shift-knob-2.html#post152355495.
MR410624 is black plastic and could very well be the one pictured in the first couple photos here: OEM GSX Shift Knob?
