Im getten tired of my stock shift knob. It's not leather and it looks boaring. What's the best looking and best feeling shift knobs out there. I know that momo has a nice knob but they cost from 50 to 150 bucks.

Just ordered a Greddy Counterweight. I loved it on my friends Scooby. They are getting hard to find, backordered on lots of sites. www.machv.com has some

I have a new lancer one. just a plain heacvy leather knob. looks good and works great....I am not a fan of flashy.

I got mine from www.flameball.com I love it. I have always liked the big ball that is in F bodies and this was the closest thing I could find. The light up is a bit ricey but it actually looks neat at night.

When you click on the first page and it show a small pic of the type of balls, I have the one that is used for the Flame 5 pic. I love the way it feels. I will get some pics when i get home and post them.

That is what I have.
That is the one i wanted to get! How do you like it? does it feel like good quality, or like some autozone cheapie? because i have never had much faith in the "universal" knobs. But that oine really intrigued me.:thumb:

If you like the counterweight, I think you'll like the Razo knob. It takes less effort to get into gear now with the hefty weight. Quality is top notch. Its height is also adjustable with 3 settings (tall, medium, short). Its looks are arguable. I personally like the look, It's what I was looking for, while some think it looks like a dildo. :p

Wouldn't it be better to fix the shifting problem, instead of bashing it into place? I don't have ANY problems, and I use stock shifter.

Mike, why dont you take a picture of your hand on or under the shift knob, so they can get an idea of how it fits in your hand?

Just a thought.

Does anyone know if the Greddy counterweight, or the RAZO metal ball is heavier?

a counterweight shift knob is a shift knob that is heavily weighted, so it makes shifting gears easier and more solid feeling. the greddy one weighs 320 grams as far as i know, and razo makes a few knobs that weigh 400g. i am not sure of all of them though

Ugh...everywhere the Greddy couter-weight is backordered. I was looking into this shift knob because everyone had the other Greddy knob (http://www.optauto.com/store/images/GPP-SK-R.GIF) . For you who haven't seen the counter-weight one:

As for the tall skinny knobs, I have one in my car a sparco one. It was the kind with the set screws. It never stays on so I just put the knob on top of the shifter and left it without tightening the screws. It's OK but the ball shape I think is much more comfortable.

Moved to non-performance.

Greddy Counterweight is what I have also. Great shift knob.

extreme psi has the counter weight for $40 shipped , they seem to have it in stock unless their website doesn't indicate when something's out of stock

AHHHHHHH Get some damn zip ties, lift up the console, and put some zip ties right onto the shifter shaft (underneath the boot) where you want the boot, slip back the console on, put the boot back on and VOILA.... :D
