This past week i just bought a front mount from a local member. He said it is the sbr race fmic, which is pretty darn big. So today I had the chance to install it and notice that it would hang from the bottom of the bumper. I searched for a solution and notice that I can bring it up a little higher but the upper brackets would hit the headlights. I also checked online how some of these intercoolers have only one upper bracket in the middle? Could this be the problem? thanks.I took pictures. notice how the brackets are on the side and not in the middle

This is from a guy who was selling his piping kit and I notice the little upper bracket is in the middle? It looks just like mine except with only one bracket to hang it from.

Well from looking at it seems like you may have to do some fab work to make it work for you, not sure about how it looks, but it may just sit below the bumper.

I have the same one and it fits fine. Does yours have two sets of holes where the crash beam bolts are?

I just checked out that the brackets seemed to be welded on there from the previous owner. What i did is bent them backwards to make it flat and have em sit ontop of where the high beam lights sit on. Give me about an inch to bring it up.

Maybe yours had only one bracket in the middle to hang from. Its a little late for me to continue but tomorrow after work hopefully i get it on right.

Man i was not sure to bend the little brackets or not but i gave em hell for giving me a hard time.

The brackets on the side had 2 sets of holes and I used the ones on top.

Maybe you need to drill some. I bought mine used so I don't know how it comes new.

I guess your right. Mine hangs about a half inch lower than the bumper. I can't tell unless Im kneeling down to look at it. Doesn't bother me though.
