Your core looks pretty big. Due to the fitment issues you are explaining, you could try to buy a smaller core from slowboy or PR. I have to side with some of the guys here though, I would consider either sending it back or if you can't cut your loses. I don't see how your front brace is going to fit back on unless you plan on cutting into it or just running without it. The extra money spent is 99% of the time worth it. I would be hesitant to permanently modifying your car to make that FMIC fit.
