:notgood: im not sure why but my car is extremely slow. it feels like im towing a trailer or something. anyways i was looking at my data logger and it is showing that even at just 10% throttle it shoots up to 4.98v which is extremely rich isnt it. no boost leaks did a check and also car is knocking. please help!:notgood:
 
the car is pulling timing from detonation then? or what kind of knock are you talking about?

4.98v is imposible from a good narrowband O2 sensor. They pretty much won't generate more than 1v.

First which datalogger are you using and which sensor are you looking at?

There are many things that could be wrong, from wiring problems to ECU damage to reading the wrong variable on the datalogger. For example in MMCd the DSM O2 sensor is O2R.

i use the mmcd and it is the o2r im reading the other one just stays at 1.3 or something like that and that one is the o2f. and for the most part it is reading from idle at .3 to wot 4.98. its trippy. and even when i try to lean it out wiht my safc it doesnt even change. went all the way up to -5. so if anyone can give me a list of things to check that would be great!
 
Like all of the OBD-1 parameters O2-F is just reporting the value of a memory location inside the ECU. You'll see it change as the code writes new values at that address but it's not anything useful. MMCd will then take the 8bit value and translate it to a 0-5v output. The 1G O2 sensor is located at the memory location O2-R is pointing at.

Again the O2 sensor should be providing an output in the 0 to 1v range and should cycle at idle or cruise. It should read greater than say 0.85v under acceleration and 0v when coasting.

If it's not; the sensor, wiring or ECU could be bad.

well needless to say my car blew up last night was revin high and slammin gears and once i hit third it went boom and oil was blowing, smoke was blinding my sight in front of me and my exhaust bolts some how snapped dropping from the lower o2 sensor. and my oil is completely empty now wow can you say need a new motor? LOL but yea getting a 97gst. are 7 bolts really that prone to crank walk and is there any way at all to help prevent it? and also how much horsepower is it when crank walk tends to happen? i know alot of questions but just new to the whole dsm world but i love it ill tell u that!
 
or perhaps i really didnt care and just wanted it to blow up cause of all the problems it was having? LOL i know it sounds stupid to do that stuff but i did and i really dont regret it cause the car was a money pit and pissed me off
