It all started right after I had me AC charged for summer. Whenever I hit Wide open throttle (WOT), my wideband drops to 10:1 (the gauges max) and stays there until I let up.

There are no boost leaks. There is a lot of black build up in my 200 mile old exhaust system. Every now and then I get the CEL P0505 (IAC fault) but the car still idles fine. under cruise and idle condition the AFR is right where it should be. Does anyone have any ideas??? Is it bad to run this rich on a built engine?

Thanks for the help!

ok first thing to do is test the resistance to the IAC motor and the wires from the ECU to the IAC make sure they zero out on a ohm reading, if all goes good check your IAT sensor make sure its not cloged with gunk, then check your o2 sensors make sure there strait if all is still good your brain my be fed up or its sending the wrong signal to the brain, THE ONLY thing that controls the IAC is the ECU nothing more. and yes it will cause a rich run.

or change you IAT, its only a few bucs and even your PCV valve them let me know what happends

So if the ECU sees that the IAC sensor is reporting high temps, then it could be adding fuel to fight knock?....Makes since. I will check it.

thanks for the help!

Exactly, i had the same type of problems, also if you get a chance stop by a autozone or such and see if you are getting trouble codes if so let me know them and i will give you a pin point trouble procedure, i have program called alldata that will tell you exactly wut to do
