Thought I’d share, my last two project second gen’s had issues with the solid shifter cable bushings seizing and breaking the cable. After trying to install another metal bushing kit I realized there is just too much tension to install them properly and the skateboard style bushings were actually damaged during installing which caused the cable to break (for reference my daily driver 2g has the solid bushings from extreme psi and I have had zero issues for 4 years now)
I couldn’t find an oem set or part numbers for rubber bushings, maybe I didn’t look hard enough, but found a Chinese seller on eBay selling the rubber ones but looked like they were for a non turbo eclipse. I bought the set for $12 shipped and the smaller bushing fit perfectly. Last time I had to replace the entire cable I really liked going back to the rubber bushings, made shifting feel less notchy
So if you’re looking for easy install the rubber bushings are much much easier to install
