2G Rubber smell from transmission (NOT CLUTCH) smells like a you did a burnout. Only under a load

I need some advice or anyone with any other ideas from experienced dsm guys. I have a 97 gsx and I had my clutch replaced with an act heavy duty kit about 6 months ago with approximately 4k miles on it. A few months ago and I drove it the other day and noticed a reeking smell from the transmission of burnt rubber almost as if you did a huge burnout. Not a clutch smell. I also replaced my slave and master cylinder as long with a ss braided line crime master to slave. I have made absolutely sure that the pedal adjustment and slave adjustment is up to spec. This only happens while under a load and I have noticed almost no slipping from the clutch. I drained the Trans fluid and noticed a bit of shavings. Not a super alarming amount but enough where it’s not normal. I am at a loss I have never ran into this before and I was a tech for 5 years. I want to know what you guys think before I pull the Trans and take a look at it myself. I do not completely know for a fact that it was shimmed and the condition of the pivot ball. Has anybody else ran into this issue? My gsx is completely stock with only a few bolt ons. Really hoping the trans isn’t broken the car only has 90k original miles on its 2nd clutch

If it smells like rubber look for things in the wheel well, belts, or anything where parts are rotating.

Also the belts and harmonic balancer's rubber cracking/disintegrating.

Or could be a damaged viscous coupling unit if the smell is really coming from inside the transmission.

If you really think it’s the clutch you can pull the “breather plugs” on top of the trans or pull back the rubber boot on the shifter arm and use a little bore-scope camera and inspect for clutch dust. The face of the clutch should be pretty clean still, if it’s covered in black looking dust you can assume the clutch is eating itself.

Clutch has a pretty distinct smell and you haven’t mentioned smell at all except rubber, and clutch doesn’t smell like burnt rubber

I’d put the car in the air and inspect everything. Make sure the cv axles aren’t leaking at the trans, or the belts aren’t shredding, or the fender liners aren’t loose hitting the tires etc
