I just filled my tank and i don't fill it very often. Once I was done pumping I noticed the smell of gas so I looked under the car and there was nothing leaking so I figured since I was at the gas station I was just smelling it. I got in the car and still smelt it but thought nothing. Drove it home, parked it in the garage and went inside. Came back out after a few hours and the garage smelt like gas. Earlier in the day it didn't smell that's why I'm saying it smells with a full tank. I've recently had 3/4 of a tank and smelt nothing. So are the seals bad or what could be going on?

Do you still have your evap canister setup in the car? If you removed it and didn't seal off the vacuum lines that goes back to the tank, those lines are emitting fumes from the tank.

Does the gas cap seal down when you close it down, if not, just the fumes are breathing around the cap.

I personally have never done anything to the fuel system or tank. When I bought it, it had a new filler neck on it but not sure what else. Where is the fuel pump located? How do I check if my cap is sealing? How do I check the seals or sending unit? Sorry don't know much about fuel systems. Thanks

The fuel pump and sending unit are located under a panel in the trunk area. You could remove the access panel and take a peek to see if you notice (or smell) anything unusual.;)

Here's the best picture I could find of one.:)

If he had a evap delete, could he run the vacuum line to his intake manifold with a check valve?

Ok I will check it out later. The smell seems to be the strongest under the back seat. I opened the truck and could hardly smell it.
