ROTOR SIZES Need Help ASAP

I have a few questions about our rotors sizes a 95-99 Eclipse GSX and Talon TSi AWD. Now, here is the situation: I know from other sources, including the service manuals and this website, that our Front vented rotors are 11" and the Rear solid rotors are 10.5" I know we also have Dual piston calipers, and I have looked up some aftermarket rotor companies, and they have said that the Talons rotors are smaller than Eclipses, regardless if it is a Turbo or an AWD with ABS or not. Is this true, cause this is what this guy has told me:

Front rotor:

Outer dia: 245.9mm

Height: 45.7mm

Nom thick: 24mm

Min thick: 22.4mm

Hub reg: 69mm

Bolt size: 12.5mm

Bolt circle: 5 x 114.3mm


Rear rotors:

Outer dia: 261.9mm

Height: 60.2mm

Nom thick: 10mm

Min thick: 8.4mm

Hub reg: 90mm

Bolt size: 12.6mm

Bolt circle: 5 x 114.3mm

Front rotors are vented and rear rotors are solid. All of our rotors are made to stock specs so they should fit if your car is compatible with stock parts. Thank you so much for emailing us with your questions. Please let us know if you have any other questions and we’ll address them.

Now, converted that is 9.68" for the fronts and 10.3" for the rears. But he said for the Eclipse GSX rotors, yeah, they are 10.9" for the front and the same 10.3" for the rear. I am stumped on this one, and any advice would be helpful....

All AWD DSM's after '93 have the larger front rotors and 2 piston calipers. According to the big brake http://www.vfaq.com/mods/BigBrakesInfo.html vfaq the size of the fronts is 275 mm diameter.

That still doesn't help me out at all. I am asking for the people that have performance rotors on thier cars, I do have the Brembo Cross Drilled/Slotted rotors, but they are not installed yet, but I am trying to make sure they are the correct sizes.... They are still under warranty....

First off, why are your rear rotors larger than your front?

No, those arent my specs, those are the specs they gave me from thier data base. They said they will fit with competley stock brake hardware. I did measure them and they are 9.68 and 10.3, but they said that they will fit on a 95-99 GSX/TSi AWD w/o or w/ ABS. I completely took thier word for it, and I bought them. But like I said, they are still under warranty, so I can still exchange them or get them replaced...

AWD fronts are 11, AWD rears are 10.5

edit, wait you already knew that, Talons brakes are the same as the eclipses if thats what your still asking.

Yeah, I already know that bro, but I am trying to figure out exactly what will work. I am asking all the people that have either big brake kits or performance rotors what are thier sizes and what did they do for thier setups....

ok your front rotors are 9.68in.
your rears are 10.3in

That you know

I run Powerslots in 11in OD or 279.4mm

rears are 10.5in OD or 266.7

It appears they gave you something like FWD non turbo rotors, and reversed which sides they go on.

Yeah, that is what I was saying. I bought them specified for a Talon TSi AWD, and this is what they gave me, I just got an email stating that the GSX's are 11" and the rears are 10.3", completely compatible with 95-99 Turbo AWD's, but I told them they gave me the wrong ones. They said they gave me the one's they have in thier database specified for a TSi, but I need from them the GSX ones, and I swore to them that they are exactly the same, except for cosmetic differences, and they told me that they even checked the service manuals (which I have) and they said they were different....

Return them, get money back, and buy from someone who isnt a "database" whore. I hate these kinds of people, I have about gotten into fist fights for this crap.

the most recent was a set of brake pads. I asked for 95 GSX app. They come out and hand me GST pads. I told them these were to small, and they disagreed telling me those pads would fit my car, because thats what the database says. I asked if they had any bigger ones then, so they went and got 3000gt pads or something I dont know. Took them home and they fit...go figure.

Yeah, I hear you bro. Man, and I got a sweet deal on these too, oh well, it was to good to be true then.... Well, do you know where can I find some that are perfectly compatible with stock setup?

Are you looking to stay with brembos, or would you consider others?

Any other brand can perform the same, so yeah, I am open to other brands. I just trusted the brand BREMBO, and look what I get? Shi* that doesnt fit. I bought these from one of thier distributors too.

Well, ive got absolutly nothing bad at all to say about Powerslots. These combined with HPS pads rip my eyes out. They can be had for just as much as the brembo blanks.

Well, I bought all 4 rotors for 250.00, yeah, and they were genuine, and cross drilled/slotted too. As for pads, I went with OEM, cause I couldnt make up my mind, and I had no problem with them at all.... Where else? What about the zinc platings on certain ones?

Well, if you can get the size you want for 250 then id do that for sure. Just tell them which ones you want, dont even specify a make or model. Go to brembos site and get the part number. Just tell them to ship you that. As for stock pads, I think they are a great pad to begin with, they just dont recover from fade very well. I would suggest Porterfield or Hawk for a good street pad. Zinc is a good plating, most likely the reason my rotors still look brand new.

Early 95 GSX & TSi AWD's also may have a VENTED rear rotors that are entirely different from the solid rear late 95-99 AWD rotors.
