Anyone have any experience with running the -001 thou undersize CB1643HX bearings. I'm going to be using my car for dirt track. Engine will be hitting close to redline going into the corner for 200 laps. Is this bearing more of a quick drag race bearing or is it something that would benefit the type of racing I am doing? This is a 4g63 non-turbo car

Just to clarify, are you saying you took a 4g63 mitsu engine and removed the turbo or that you have the n/a 420a Chrysler engine? Because they will take different rod bearings as they are different makes

I have a 93 N/A 2.0 car that I'm asking about the rod bearings for. Sorry about the user name. This user profile is from back when I had a 2g so that's probably confusing

You are actually looking for bearings to allow additional clearance, I prefer the King HD.

So you are running the bearings with additional clearance? Do you notice that they have any lower oil pressure or tend to last longer than not running bearings with additional clearance?

I actually have higher oil pressure due to the balance shaft delete, which I recommend for your high rpm application, its almost a must. Other than that i dont notice anything, I do run 20w-50 Valvoline VR-1 also.

Yes I am going to delete the balance shafts for sure. Last thing i need is extra rotational mass and a belt that could take out my timing belt after ill have just put a brand new head on. I just wish the balance shaft delete was as easy on these cars as it is on a 2.5 turbo mopar. LOL
