okay well im getting ready to pull out my motor and install a newer used one, my question is are there anythings i need to look out for that might give me some trouble while removing ?? and also do you think it would be easier to leave the transmission in when i install the new motor?? i have herd its a pain to get all the bolt holes lined up. thanks in advance, brandon

okay so i have got almost all the stuff i need to remove the engine disconnected and removed, i just need to drop the transfercase and the driver side suspension. my question now is what fluid should i put back into the transfercase after i am ready to put it all back together?

Well i just wanted to start a new thread to again thank everyone that had replyed to my previous thread on removing my engine. soo.. Thank You LOL. and also i got the engine and tranny removed last night, it was a long night but i got it done. i will try to post pictures up when i get the pics onto my computer ive never done it on this site before but im sure i can figure it out. It was my first ever removing an engine from a car and i have to say it was very tidious but it was a fun learning expierence, now the next challenge is putting in the new engine when it gets here haha. yeah i kno LOL i labled just about everything but ill probly sitll resort to the repair manual for the wireing diagram and vacuum line diagram just to be safe. im excite, i cant wait till the new motor comes in i want my bird to fly again haah

it is a good idea to label everything as you said you did. I also like taking pics of everything as it is coming apart, like vacuum lines and routing of the wiring itself. especially if you have a digital camera. hope everything goes well for you, keep posts and let us now of any upgrades.:dsm:

Here's an idea. If anyone more motivated than me wants to make it and sell it, that's fine. Give me one and we'll call it even.:D

I want a camera that can also record a message for each image. Snap a picture and then say "CAS plug...connects to the end of the intake cam." That'd be cool. Probably be useful for other applications, too. Then you'd have software for your PC so that you could go through your album and click on each picture and it plays back the message.

Maybe they have something like that already. I know you could do it with a video recorder, but then you have to watch the whole damned "movie" to find one part.

I'm going to make a wiring harness guide to all the plugs when I rip my motor out this summer. Close enough to that camera for you? LOL
