Hi all:

I had some problems while assembling back my tranny during the summer (1g 92 gsx), and I broke one of the entry or exits of my charcoal canister.

So, I am planing to remove it as it is quite dificult to find a suitable replacement.
So, what is the best way to solve the problem (Please, avoid answers like finding a new charcoal canister.) right now?

Is it really a must for fuel economy?

Thank you all.

That is a great post just need to make sure you have the updated on and are using the 1g not the 2g layout

yeah, the true is that I was getting a bit confused with these corrected 2g diagrams. I saw on top of post, the 1G diagrams, but are these correct?

I think I would need a MBC, a catch can, and a boost gauge.

i am going maybe offtopic, but...

MBC, ball and spring type ok? I have seen a few on ebay for a few bucks (with overseas shipping), Voodoo is ok?

Going into E-85 does not cause any trouble at all with this setup right? and btw, is it possible to use E-85 with dsmlink?

Ball and spring is definitely a better design then the eBay bleeders. Hallman is a very good brand, but you can make your own. It's very simple once you know how it works. You can identify a B&S by having one hose in and one hose out, 'in series'.

And here is how to make one. I like this tutorial vs. other ones because quite a few other tutorials fail to cover drilling a hole as covered in step 7.

Paint the ugly SOB to match.

And FYI the "p" port on the throttle body sees both vacuum and boost, whereas "E" and "A" only see boost (before throttle plate)

With E85, you have to update the fuel system due to the different chemical. But I don't have first hand experience with it, so take that with a grain of salt.
