No charcoal canister??

Alright I had a quick question. I took my charcoal canister out a long time ago. I always had a fp intake pipe so there was no hole for the hose so I just took it out. Now I just have the vent hose pointing at the ground. I was wondering if I could just run that hose back into the intake pipe. I was putting the car back to stock so I figured that might give me better gas mileage. So if I bypasses the charcoal canister and just ran that hose straight to the intake pipe would that be bad?

Yes, creating a partial vacuum in the gas tank would be bad.

Alright I was wondering why noone did it . I've been searching trying to find something and couldn't find anyone trying to do that. Oh well I guess I'll leave it how it is.

But it would cause fuel to possibly be sucked into the intake before the turbo... Wouldn't that increase horsepower and efficiency?

Just kidding.

It would be bad to run a line to the intake without the charcoal canister in it.

I was hoping it Would work kind of like pre turbo meth and add like 500 hp. Thanks for the info.

The charcoal canister isn't really that important. All it does is hold the excess fuel fumes until the next time you turn on the car. Much more important are the solenoids that control the drawing of air from the canister into the intake. These prevent the system from creating a serious vacuum in the tank. Given where the breather hose is in the tank, you wouldn't suck up fluid fuel regardless.
