Removing motor with out tranny

You can leave the drivetrain in the car if it doesn't get in the way of pulling the motor. As for the AC, does it have freon in it and in working condition? If so, I would just undo it from the bracket and mount it out of the way without any kinks in the lines to save the freon.
 
Ok well you you need to unhook the block from the transmission the t case will be in the way, easier I think, I always remove my engine with transmission off.
