Hey fellas im trying to pull out out the motor out of my 90 Eagle Talon Fwd A/T but trying to do it with out having to pull the tranny with it since the tranny is busted already.I already took out alot of the stuff on the motor like the head, exhaust manifold,turbo,o2 ect. its just the bare block with the tranny attached to it.What i was wondering is can i remove the block wiht out the tranny? The block is already loose their is only a few things holding the block to the tranny, its these two little inserts on the block that attach to the tranny but im having a hard time getting them out of the tranny.Does somebody know how to take the block out with out the tranny? What else do i need to remove to remove the tranny from the block?Allright fellas, thanks!

You have to remove the tranny because it has to be slided away from the engine when you take it out. I know because Ive done it.

Perhaps the lack of tips from others would tend to indicate that it's never done. Or, never done a second time. Kind of like pulling the radiator out through the glovebox.
