Ok guys so I was just gonna bolt a evo 16g on and run it on my stock block but my rings and valve seals are bad. I would like to know what parts like pistions and rods stuff like that are gonna hold a hx35 at 20 to 30 psi daily thanks and it's a 90 gst looking to spend around 1000 to 1500 for the rebuild

Do a stock build it can be done but for how long don't know, just look at any vendor for a package, lots of vendors who will have what youll need, check them out. They can give you prices too.

Would a 2g piston 1g rod be a better setup?

The current stock block hx 35 record car is over 500hp.

Your budget is a bit low for a forged set up, H-beam rods and forged pistons will go $800-900 new, depending on brand.

Add $300 for the timing belt and hyd tentsioner and pulleys.

This is just a start, still need bearings, gaskets

Machine work can go $500-600 or more depending on what is needed and wanted.

Shoot, man. Stock block with ARP rod bolts. Some good race bearings and Hasting piston rings. I'm at 461WHP on waste-gate pressure..

Stock block would be good enough, anything other than that the cost adds up real quick. It's more of the tune than it is the motor half the time. Good luck with the build!
